Single Ply Roofing
Over the past 40 years the industry has seen many new membrane manufacturers enter the market, the quality improve and the training requirement heightened. Although this is obviously a good thing, the cost and logistics of installation has kept this system mostly within the realms of the commercial sector − there are few high-quality installers of single ply PVC systems available to domestic clients. Robseal Roofing Solutions provide this service for commercial and domestic customers alike.
One of the main benefits of single ply membrane is the ability to successfully seal awkward detailing. We have seen many roofs that have failed due to poor attempts to seal tricky areas with a naked flame and hot bitumen - an operation that can be only tackled by highly skilled roofers.
With single ply, as each detail must be approved by the membrane manufacturer, the system is policed and detailing is properly designed. Couple this with the pliability of the membrane and these awkward roof details become more manageable and we can be confident of the result.
All complete roof installations are issued with 15-20 year guarantees. For complete peace of mind, insurance backed guarantees are issued as standard on all domestic work. This means that in the unlikely event Robseal Roofing Solutions Ltd should cease to exist your work remains guaranteed to the value of the initial contract.
Our drive for quality ensures that we only ever use the best products fitted by our manufacturer approved roofers.
Felt Roofing
If your flat roof will be subject to a high level of foot traffic, if you have concerns over other flat roofing systems or if you simply prefer the traditional look of a felt roof then there are very good options available.
Liquid Roofing Systems
In general terms, due to its ease of application this product is perfect for projects with awkward detailing. Also, due to a shorter list of materials, loading-out the working area is faster and easier. This product is therefore perfect for terraces/ balconies, those really awkward to load projects and the tricky detailing issues that arise all too often. With that said, this is also a product that should be considered for large roof areas as an option against single ply or built-up felt systems.
Hot Melt Roofing
This system requires good quality concrete/screed substrate and should be of a decent size, to warrant the logistics of placing a boiler on the roof.
A Hot Works Permit is required for this system which we can provide.
Green Roofing
The benefits of a green roof include reducing rain water run-off, providing insulation so reducing energy consumption, creating a habitat for wildlife, improving air quality and improving the aesthetics of the roof.
There are many different types and forms of green roof, including extensive, intensive and biodiverse or brown roofs. The terms used refer to the depth of the substrate used and the level of maintenance the roofs require. Intensive green roofs are garden-like in appearance and designed to be used but require a high level of maintenance and built in irrigation. Extensive green roofs are usually planted with sedum and are not intended for public access. Instead they offer a light weight, low maintenance solution.
Maintenance, Inspections & Leak Testing
Our 3-Point Flat Roof Maintenance Programme begins with a detailed survey by our experienced team, followed by necessary remedial works to address any issues and ensure a watertight seal. We then conduct regular health checks, ideally before and after winter, to maintain your roof's condition.
Additionally, we offer detailed roof inspections for insurance purposes or home buyers, providing thorough reports to address any concerns. For difficult-to-detect leaks, we utilize electronic testing methods to pinpoint the source of water ingress, offering detailed reports with implications and possible remedies.
With Robseal Roofing Solutions, you can rest assured that your flat roof is in good hands, backed by expert maintenance and leak testing services.
Fall Protection & Fall Arrest Systems
There are two main types of systems; fall protection, such as a parapet or fixed guardrail, or fall arrest, such as an anchor point, lanyard & harness. The fall protection systems should always be considered first but if not practicable then a fall arrest system should be used. We can offer advice on the best system to use for your project.
