The Robseal name has been associated with quality single ply roofing in Berkshire, Hampshire & Surrey for over 40 years. Robseal was one of the first to use the single ply roofing system in to the UK in the 1980s, turning existing clients to its advantages over the traditional felt systems employed at the time.
Over the past 40 years the industry has seen many new membrane manufacturers enter the market, the quality improve and the training requirement heightened. Although this is obviously a good thing, the cost and logistics of installation has kept this system mostly within the realms of the commercial sector − there are few high-quality installers of single ply PVC systems available to domestic clients. Felt Roofing
The improvement in flat roofing technology with the introduction of single ply systems raised the bar over the better traditional systems. However, this led to many of the high performance felt manufacturers raising their game and we now have a wide choice of extremely good products in the bituminous market.

Liquid Roofing Systems
Liquid coating systems have come a long way in the past few years and some of them now considered to be of a comparable standard to the better single ply membranes. The liquid coating systems endorsed by Robseal have been tried, tested and manufactured by well-established waterproofing manufacturers who ensure that procuring of the product can only be undertaken by trained and registered installers.
In general terms, due to its ease of application this product is perfect for projects with awkward detailing. Also, due to a shorter list of materials, loading-out the working area is faster and easier. This product is therefore perfect for terraces/ balconies, those really awkward to load projects and the tricky detailing issues that arise all too often. With that said, this is also a product that should be considered for large roof areas as an option against single ply or built-up felt systems.

Hot Melt Roofing
Hot melt is a membrane that is applied as a hot liquid directly to a prepared structural deck to create a completely seamless, monolithic layer. This is the ideal solution for the waterproofing underneath sedum roofs. Although Robseal fully endorse installing single ply PVC membrane under sedum roofs and brown roofs, generally due to poor workmanship and damage in the membrane from following trades we are finding that more clients are preferring to opt for a seamless and robust waterproofing layer. Hot melt is the answer.
This system requires good quality concrete/screed substrate and should be of a decent size, to warrant the logistics of placing a boiler on the roof.
