Mobile Gantry
Samson Lifting can design and manufacture mobile gantries to suit customer requirements.
Lightweight, adjustable aluminium mobile gantries in kit form are available in various specifications, to suit customer requirements. These are usually supplied with push type trolleys and manual hoists.
Gantries can be internally braced, externally braced or, for capacities of up to 1000kg with a maximum span of 3mtrs, without bracing. Two locking casters of the four swivel casters are fitted as standard.
When enquiring, please state S.W.L, height to underside of cross beam and width between uprights.

Lifting and Crane Services can design bespoke lifting and spreader beams to customers requirements
Various attachments are available to suit your individual applications. Lifting beams normally have a centre top lifting point. Spreader beams are normally supplied with a top two-leg sling, in either chain, wire or webbing.
Heavy duty modual lifting beams are another option. Modual beams are normally tubular and the various lengths are bolted together to obtain the correct length to suit your requirements.
As customer applications vary considerably, please state S.W.L, distance between lower lifting points and any headroom restrictions.

Here at Lifting and Crane Services, we supply a range of hydraulic floor cranes, and a S.W.L of 250kg to 2000kg is available.

Other materials such as Nylon or Polypropylene are available for special applications. Basic lifting slings are either Duplex (double thickness) or Simplex (single thickness) or in endless form either Simplex or Duplex. Manufactured to the latest European standards (BS EN 1492-1) all slings within that range are colour coded for easy S.W.L. identification.
Standard lifting slings are supplied with reinforced eyes to minimize wear from the hoist hook and prevent burning when used in a choked lift. We recommend the use of wear sleeves to prolong the life of these lifting slings. Specialised Cargo Nets are also available constructed from webbing using the same 7:1 safety factor.

Galvanised or black finish universal roller fairleads may be purchased as an accessory or as part of a winch accessory kit.
Top, bottom and side rollers are incorporated in our fairleads to accomodate pulling in all directions. These fairleads suit most manufactured winches in addition to our own 'Samson' range.
Aluminium hawsers are also available and are recomended for use with plasma, dyneema or webbing cables.

Jacks
Bottle jacks ranging from 2-20 tonnes are commonly used as an alternative to the jacks supplied by the vehicle manufacturers. Samson Lifting also offer mechanical farm jacks

These exceptional, adaptable, drum-less winches are available in 3 sizes and come with a 20mtr wire rope and handle. They can be a life saver should your vehicle lose all power and a manual winch is your only way out.
They are also compact for their capacity and can be easily stored. Also suitable for lifting.
Any length of wire rope can be supplied to suit our rope hoists. Our snatch and swing blocks can be used to double their capacity

Kinetic Ropes
For when the extra pulling power is required in towing or recovery, our Kinetic ropes are spliced to order. 8 plait, 24mm Nylon with reinforced eyes, 8mtr long. 12 tonne max breaking strength. Made in house.
For recovery purposes, we recommend our standard length of 8mtrs. However, as we produce these ropes in house, any length can be spliced to order.

Curtain Sided/Internal Pole Straps
Curtain sided vehicle straps and internal straps are manufactured to customer’s requirements. A wide range of coloured webbings are available and can be stencilled with individual customer’s names and logos.
We also offer distributors the option of having their own label sewn into the products.
A range of overcentre buckles including zinc plated, epoxy coated, locking type and stainless steel are available from stock. Both open and closed rave hooks are also standard stock items.

Car Transporter Straps
Our Transporter Straps incorporate a short narrow handle ratchet for minimum restriction to releasing system. We manufacture to our customers own specifications.
Our standard car transporter strap is designed for recovery vehicles and trailers. Normally 3.3mtr overall length (0.3mtr short part), it comes with a 300mm long webbing wheel strap terminating in oval links. Soft wheel straps at 500mm long are also available and are recommended for clamping alloy wheels.

Eyebolts
Traditional British Standard high tensile Eyebolts, Eyenuts and Deck plates are available in a wide range of sizes. Most of which are available from stock.
In addition to the traditional Dynamo or Collared Eyebolt, Grade 8 swivel eyebolts are available for angled lifting.
British Standard and Din Spec eyebolts with B.S.W or metric threads up to 30mm are normally held in stock. Larger sizes and U.N.C threads are available within 2-3 days.

Machine Skates
Our complete machine skate set comprises of skates, turntables, packing plates, steering handles and link-up/draw bars.
Machine skates are used for short, variable transportation distances and installation, works and movement of heavy loads. The steering handle gives you precise control, making it easier to manoeuvre large machinery into tight areas and they have a minimum turning circle of 3m.
The track surface is important for the safe transportation of the load (tiles are unsuitable and movement on tarmac and concrete is restricted).
