OSLoop is a modular smoke control system. It consists of a centralised coordination module (the coordinator) and between 1 and 16 remotely mounted manual control points (MCPs). Larger systems can be constructed by linking together multiple coordinators.

The coordinator controls power and data to the networked system fully monitoring primary (mains) and secondary (battery*) power supplies. The OSLoop system intelligently monitors current requirements of the system and determines how and when the MCPs can call on this power to activate AOVs.

Each MCP contains actuator switching circuitry which also monitors the actuator cabling and circuitry for faults. If a fault is detected, then the MCP raises a local alarm and also informs the coordinator so the remote alarms can be triggered. The MCP also provides support for up to three smoke detectors. Again this circuitry monitors the detectors and cabling checking for faults. In addition, the MCP may be configured to work independently or grouped in the same system.

The OS2 SHEVTEC Controller is an intelligent 24 V dc control system designed to drive 2-wire 24 V dc actuators in a smoke control and/or environmental ventilation system.

Operating from a 230 V ac 5A supply, the OS2 SHEVTEC Controller can deliver up to 8A to drive 24 V motorised actuators and magnetic catches. Battery backup is provided for continued operation after mains supply interruption.

The OS2 SHEVTEC Controller can be mounted locally to the devices to be operated or in a centralised location. Each SHEVTEC Controller can operate independently or can be linked to others to produce a networked control system. The networked control system in turn can operate standalone or be linked to a building management system.

The NVLogiQ PSU is an adaptive Environmental Ventilation single-zone control panel and can be networked in multi-zone projects. 

The NVLogiQ PSU can operate on a stand-alone basis operating on manual switches or can be connected to the BMS to operate the AOVs as required.

The NVLogiQ PSU can be installed into new and refurbished buildings where there is a focus on indoor air quality and energy saving.

The physical size and appearance has been purposely designed to enable surface mounting for new and refurbishment projects.

The MCP is designed to allow the Fire & Rescue Service to manually override the smoke control system through a user-friendly interface. Design includes an open button and a close/reset button, which are accessed by lifting the clear front door.

Fully complies to prEN12101 part 9. 

System status, operation, fault finding and cable monitoring is all included within the features of the MCP (OSLoop version only) as required by the standard.

The Tamper Proof MCP is designed to eliminate nuisance activation of the smoke ventilation system whilst delivering the full functionality required of an MCP.

The orange (RAL 2011) MCP displays system and vent status visibly through three LEDs, “power, fault and activated” as required by the standard.

Principle of detection:
Photo-electric detection of light scattered by smoke particles over a wide range of angles. The optical arrangement comprises an infra-red emitter with a prism and a photo-diode at 90° to the light beam with a wide field of view.

Flashing LED:
The integral LED flashes when the detector is in standby mode.

The stand-alone rain sensor automatically detects rain or snow fall and signals the ventilation control system to close open vents.

The sensor is built into a plastic weatherproof enclosure. The mounting bracket system has been designed such that the sensor can be mounted on to any suitable external façade of a building and adjusted for optimum rain detection.
