VAT
Value Added Tax (VAT) can be one of the most time consuming and complicated aspects for a business to deal with. Many businesses unknowingly can underpay or overpay VAT simply because of the complexity in understanding the system and frequent legislative changes. SEM Accountancy can manage your entire VAT process efficiently and on time so you avoid any penalties.
From April 2019 business above 85K will be mandated to keep their records digitally and provide quaterly updates to HMRC for their VAT returns. SEM will submit VAT returns from accounting software MTD compliant.

Payroll
SEM's range of payroll services will take away the stress allowing for a streamlined system to pay your staff correctly and on time. Since April 2013, employers have been responsible for submitting PAYE information to HMRC in Real Time- RTI.
This means sending details to HMRC every time an employee is paid, and at the time he/she is paid. All records about employees must be up-to-date (name. date of birth. gender, full address and valid NI number) and must now include additional information, such as hours worked.
SEM as your payroll service provider uses RTI-ready payroll software to send your real time PAYE information. FPS is submitted in real time to HMRRC.
We also account for pension Auto-Enrolment.

CIS Accounting
If you are a self-employed sub-contractor in the construction industry we can assist with all aspects of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) advice, filing and claims. We can act as an agent and deal with your CIS submissions monthly and also complete your annual submission. Don't risk the severe penalties that can result if you are non-compliant or make incorrect lodgements. Our in-depth knowledge of this often complex scheme will save you time and hassle at extremely affordable fees.

Personal Tax Services
