Plant & Machinery Installation
From our base in Croydon on the London/Surrey border our teams operate anywhere in the European Union.
Where standard solutions do not exist, we offer a bespoke service with full project management when required.
Logistics
As a Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) accredited company our transport fleet is regularly audited by external auditors.
Mobile Crane Hire & Contract Lifting
We use a national network of crane operators and an up-to-date fleet of cranes ranging in capacity from 8 tonnes to 1200te, in order to meet a diverse range of customer needs. As part of the Contract Lift conditions all crane operations are Scoped, Managed, Supervised and carried out by Simmons' directly employed personnel.
Engineering Solutions
Our in-house skilled coded welders can design and fabricate frames to support or protect fragile items such as ice sculptures or other works of art. We also fabricate gantries for plant removal or installations and also our own lifting beams. These are all tested by an independent engineer and certificated.
We can also support our customers by providing custom modifications to new plant pipework in plant rooms, chiller rooms and to air handling units.
All gantries designed for lifting operations are fully certificated before they leave our workshop.
Storage
All facilities are covered by CCTV and monitored alarms. Our customers who have plant and machinery coming in from abroad and use the channel crossings typically use us to take delivery of their assets for inspection prior to taking to site. Storage could be free dependent that is upon certain factors.

Engineering Solutions
Frames can be designed and fabricated by our skilled coded welders to support or protect delicate items such as ice sculptures. As well as fabricating gantries for plant removal or installation, we also manufacture lifting beams of our own. All of these have been tested and certified by an independent engineer.
Storage
Using our network of approved logistics partners across the UK, we provide safe, dry storage of your materials and machinery at our own premises in Surrey, ready for 'just in time' deliveries in or around London.

With 22 full-time employees, our riggers have over 100 years' experience 'on the tools' and receive frequent refresher training both internally and externally.
In terms of skilled labor, we do not subcontract work or use labor agencies.
