SSR102-CP Cable

SOFT-START - innovative built-in feature eliminates inrush currents on Solco Pyroelec self-regulating heating cables, allows substantially increased circuit lengths over a standard controller.

ECONOMY & VALUE - longer trace heating circuit lengths up to 245m (startup at +5°C, 20A Type C circuit breaker protection) for SSR102-CP.

SAFETY − SSR102-CP self-regulating trace heating tape has a power output of 10W/m at +10°C and, unlike constant wattage tapes, will not overheat or burn out, even on plastic pipework or when overlapped at valves and flanges.

SECURITY − the UP, DOWN, ENTER buttons on the front of the Smart-GUARD unit are locked in normal use to prevent inadvertent or malicious altering/tampering of the programmed settings.

PLUG & PLAY − the Smart-GUARD unit is pre-set to maintain 5°C (freeze
protection application) and can be used as AIR (ambient) sensing OR LINE
(pipe) sensing.

Smart-GUARD Controller

The Smart-GUARD is an electronic temperature controller for use in freeze protection applications, predominantly in the fire sprinkler market, and is designed specifically to meet the requirements of BS EN 12845 as described in the LPC regulations and RC38 recommendations published by the FPA. The regulations require the duplication of trace heating cables with each being separately switched and monitored. It can also be used in higher temperature applications and as a single circuit controller too.
