Mobile Cricket Covers

Stuart Canvas is the leading supplier of Mobile Cricket Covers in the UK. Over the last 20 years, we have designed and manufactured high-quality covers, for every first-class County Ground as well as many leading Clubs and Schools in the UK.
Over the last 20 years we have listened to the suggestions from club, school and county ground staff and have worked to change and improve our design to ensure that today our mobile covers are some of the best on the market.
As many town and village cricket clubs only use one grounds person (or none at all), it is imperative that individual sections of the mobile cricket covers are easily manoeuvrable, which is why our modular design is ideal for clubs and schools of all sizes.

Hospitality Outdoor Canopies

We have supplied protective canopies for architects, businesses and for home use. Our canopies have been designed to suit a range of frameworks including timber and steel designs and can be produced in a variety of materials. We have over 40 years of experience which we use when designing a bespoke canopy, are specialists can advise on the best materials and fixing to produce the best solution for your canopy needs. We have a dedicated CAD specialist and can produce CAD designs and concepts if needed.

Tennis Court Covers

Stuart Canvas can cover any surface of court from grass, tarmac, artificial grass, clay and many more. We would choose the right material for your surface.

Pitch Frost Covers

We provide football pitch frost covers that are ideal for frost prevention. Our covers allow both practice and matches to go ahead even night frost. The covers help reduce the chance of costly rescheduled or cancelled matches. The frost covers ware also perfect for the training ground, allowing training to continue during periods of frosty weather.
The frost covers can be manufactured as a single skin, double skin or even a triple skin depending on the level of protection required. They are manufactured from a 130gsm material and have reinforced hems and eyelets to give the cover longevity. The covers are available as ‘flat sheets’ or can come on an ‘inflatable roller’. The rollers require less labour and allow the frost covers to be deployed quickly and easily. For more information please see the video demonstration of them being deployed. These frost covers also help to retain heat when used on a heated pitch system.
We also supply these made to measure covers to racecourses and equestrian centres. The frost covers can also double up as debris cover to protect your playing surface from leaves, twigs and other natural debris.

Loading Bay & Dock Tunnels

Stuart Canvas can produce loading bay and warehouse dock retable tunnels, these are ideal to create a coved area between a building and an unloading vehicle. The retractable design allows the tunnel to be kept retracted against a building during clear weather conditions and extended to creae a sealed tunnel between a building and vehicle during bad weather conditions. Larger tunnel can be used to create a temporary storage area and can be large enough for a forklift to manoeuvre inside.
We offer a design, supply and installation service and also have a dedicated R&D team that can solve any unusual covering issues or requirements you may have. Items can be produced ‘free standing’ or ‘fixed’ and can include floor mounted or sunken tracking to aid movement.

Boxing Ring Covers

Stuart Canvas have been manufacturing Boxing Ring Covers and Skirts for over 6 years.
With our highly skilled production staff, we can manufacture all rings to your own specification. All rings are butted stitched so there are no trips hazards on the Boxing Ring Canvas.
We can provide the canvas with eyelets to tighten the cover and use PVC in the hems for reinforcement. We manufacture these covers in Blue or Black canvas.

County Flat Sheets

Stuart Canvas County Cricket Covers are manufactured from a 250gsm lightweight, semi-translucent material which allows light to reach the wicket. They feature reinforced hems with grab handles every 15’ and eyelets every 5’, making them ideal for all standards of County, Club and School Cricket.
Our fully waterproof County Covers are ideal for stand-alone flat sheets or can be used as side sheets and bowlers run up protection which then can be linked to our Mobile Covers. All our flat sheets are UV stabilised.

Our Gazebo covers can be produced from Polyester backed canvas or PVC depending on what look and durability you are looking for. Both materials come in a variety of colours to allow the covers to stand out and make a statement, or to blend into the garden’s surroundings.

Ground Covers

Stuart Canvas provide Football ground covers that are perfect against frost protection. Due to the increasingly severe weather conditions, many games across the UK are being abandoned. These frost covers allow matches to proceed, reducing the chance of costly abandonments. Our frost covers would also be a great addition to your training ground, allowing players to continue to train during periods of frosty weather.
Our frost covers can be manufactured as a single skin to a triple skin cover depending on the level of protection and insulation required. They are manufactured from a 130gsm or a 190gsm geotextile material and come complete with reinforced hems and eyelets for pegging down. Our frost covers are available as ‘flat sheets’ or on an ‘inflatable roller’ system. These rollers require less labour and allow the frost covers to be deployed quickly and easily, you can find a demonstration below on how our rollers are inflated. Stuart Canvas has been manufacturing tennis windbreaks and tennis screens for many years. The screens are ideal for home or club use and can be made to measure to your exact requirements.
Depending on requirements, we can manufacture the Tennis Windbreaks from anything from a rot-proof canvas to a polypropylene material. These also act as shading for the court and players.
The Tennis windbreaks simply slip onto your existing perimeter fencing. They are straight forward and uncomplicated to use and is a great addition to any court.

Filter Sheets

Our filter sheets are made from breathable material which is highly durable and are made with reinforced roped hems. Our filter sheets are ideal for the transportation of sawdust and other fine materials. Filter sheets can be used in conjunction with PVC rollover top sheets to create a secure and weatherproof cover.

Retractable Players Tunnels

Stuart Canvas Ltd has been producing the retractable tunnel for both sport and industry for over 20 years. We design and manufacture to suit the client’s exact needs, from the first site survey to the final installation. We have made retractable tunnels for football clubs such as Manchester United and stadiums such as Wembley, Stuart Canvas Ltd has also installed tunnels into power stations, schools and large warehouses as these tunnels can be used for industrial use.
The retractable players’ tunnel offers great protection from objects for when players are walking onto the football pitch.

At Stuart Canvas we specialise in manufacturing bespoke covers for industrial equipment and machinery. Our covers are made to measure to fit a customers’ requirements. All of our equipment and machine covers are designed to provide ideal protection against inclement weather and industrial dust. Furthermore, we work with the customer to design the best solution. This may be a one of or multiple units but we use our 40 years of experience and expertise when designing a solution which meets all requirements.
Our Equipment and Machine Covers are produced with various fixing methods and reinforcements. This, of course, provides complete protection of your equipment, either for storage or during transit.
Company branding and logos can also be applied to help promote a company or product. Stencils, logos or coding can be used which can certainly help promote brand awareness or for visual identification e.g. country of origin, date of manufacture, part numbers and cost centre codes.

Polypropylene Cricket Sightscreen

The Polypropylene Sightscreen may easily be moved by one person, therefore making it easier for ground staff and players alike. They may easily be dismantled for winter storage.

Size Available: 4.5m (height) x 4.25m (width) , 15 removable PVC slats and 4 wheels.

Modular Building Covers

With the modular building sector booming the is a requirement to protect the assets as they travel from their manufacturing location to their end destination. It is widely known that damage will occur in transit of the building is not covered and it is also evident that by using batons and tarps in high winds on the motorways results in torn covers and then damaged buildings. Tarps and batons are generally one of the uses and then skipped / sent to landfill which is not that sustainable.

Equestrian Veterinary Screen

Stuart Canvas is the leading supplier of veterinary screens to nearly all racecourses in the UK. We also supply screens to polo clubs, point-to-point courses and other equestrian related activities.
Our standard veterinary screen is 30 ft long by 8 ft high and has seven poles that can be easily inserted into the turf for stability. The screen has grab handles on each pole for extra stability. It also has viewing holes to allow officials to see through the screen to monitor proceedings.
The veterinary screen can be erected quickly and easily so that the public or media do not get a view of the injured horse or rider.
We can also make our screens to the size you require.

Pallet, Stillage, Dunnage & IBC Covers

Our Pallet, Stillage and Dunnage Covers are ideal for protecting products in storage or during transit. This type of solution allows products to be fully weather protected and are ideal for outside storage.

All our covers are reusable and is a fantastic way of promoting your green credentials. Using our protective covers is a great way to reduce shrink wrap usage, as they can be used time and time again.

Inflatable Horse Shelter

The Horse Inflatable Shelter came in response to Ascot Racecourse’s request to design a veterinary screen that would completely conceal a horse that required veterinary treatment in the winner’s enclosure, paddock or in front of the stands.

Our brief was to design and manufacture a product that could easily be put over the horse and inflated quickly. It required sufficient room for three people and complete viewing protection from the public. The inflation time is under one minute. The Horse Inflatable Shelter can be attached to the back of a horse ambulance.

Defence

Stuart Canvas offers a full ‘design to competition’ service working closely in the defence and industrial sectors. The company is a Tier 1 supplier to the UK MoD (Ministry of Defence) and has the infrastructure to supply items for UOR’s (urgent operational requirements) contracts.
