The SV 104IS is the intrinsically safe version of the revolutionary personal noise dosimeter, the SV 104. Both instruments offer a new approach to occupational health and safety noise monitoring presenting features such as 1/1 octave band real-time analysis and audio events recording functions which are a new quality in an instrument of this size. All results are clearly displayed on the amazing OLED screen which offers excellent visibility even in full daylight or darkness.
This personal dosimeter has a robust 1/2″ MEMS microphone enabling easy calibration using most commonly available acoustic calibrators. The new microphone has a large dynamic range of the 90 dB which allows to measure noise from 60 dBA to 140 dBA. The long list of microphone advantages includes also the autocalibration feature and TEDS memory that stores the calibration info in the microphone itself. The auto-calibration means performing the acoustic calibration automatically once the microphone is inserted into the calibrator.
The SV 104IS is a cable-free dosimeter and is typically attached to the user’s shoulder, close to the ear using the mounting clips supplied. The instrument works with Svantek’s health and safety software package, “Supervisor”, that provides various tools for data analysis and reporting. The docking station supports data transfer to the PC through the infrared interface as well as handles the battery charging. Rechargeable batteries of SV 104IS are able to power the instrument for 50 hours.

With a robust (IP65), pocket size casing, this instrument is an excellent tool for anyone who deals with acoustic measurements.

Whole Body Vibration Accelerometers
All accelerometers have built-in TEDS memory that stores information about the accelerometer sensitivity that is automatically transferred to the vibration analyser being used. A full ISO8041 in-situ calibration check for before and after measurement is possible using the SV111 portable vibration calibrator and dedicated adaptors.
The SV 38 uses an IEPE power supply and is compatible with most tri-axial vibration meters whereas the low-voltage SV 38V and SV 151 accelerometers are dedicated to work with our SV 106 instrument. The SV 38V and SV 151 consume much less energy than the SV 38 which extends the operating time of the instrument.

Whole Body Mems Accelerometer- SV151
A full ISO8041 in-situ check for before and after measurement is possible using the SV111 portable vibration calibrator and dedicated SA40* adaptor.
The SV 151 accelerometer is designed for SEAT transmissibility measurements. Its small size enables the SV 151 to be placed on the vehicle floor accurately and according to ISO2631-1 requirements.
The SV151 is a tri-axial accelerometer enabling SEAT transmissibility measurements to be measured in all 3 axes simultaneously. It can be used with any instrument that supports MEMS technology such as the SV 106 multichannel human vibration analyser.

Human Vibration Meter- SV106
The RMS, Peak, Peak-Peak, VDV, MTVV, A(8) or Dose results with all required weighting filters for the HVM measurements are available with this instrument. Using computational power of its digital signal processor, the SV 106 can perform real-time 1/1 or 1/3 octave analysis simultaneously to the meter mode. Advanced time-history logging and time-domain signal recording (according to the
ISO 2631-5) to built-in Micro SD flash card give almost unlimited capabilities of data storage.
Results can be easily downloaded to PC using USB interface and SvanPC+ software. SvanPC+ software also provides the setup-editor function which manages the instrument’s settings. The Whole-Body vibration measurement is easier thanks to SV 38V seat-accelerometer which can be placed directly on the seat-cushion, floor or fixed to the back of the seat. The SV 50 set with triaxial accelerometer enables Hand-Arm vibration measurements regardless of the type of evaluated tool.
Additionally, for measurements of very high impulse vibration the special adapter SA 55, with low pass mechanical filter protecting accelerometer from DC shift effect, is available. Evaluation of the grip force will be accessible with dedicated “integrated adapter” SV 105 (under development stage).

Personal Vibration Monitor- SV103
Hand-arm vibration is when mechanical vibrations are transmitted to the human hand when in contact with the surface of a vibrating machine such as an electric drill. This type of vibration is particularly harmful as it can cause pathological changes in the nervous system of the hands and fingers; commonly called white finger disease. As there is no cure for damage caused by vibration, the only effective regime is to take regular vibration measurements in the hazardous workplace environment and therefore ensure that damage is not caused in the first place. However, many currently used assessment methods for hand-arm vibration are subject to a very high level of uncertainty and typically vibration measurement accuracy can vary in the range of ±20% to 40% which makes a big difference in terms of white finger disease.
The SV103 from Svantek significantly decreases the measurement uncertainty as the instrument is attached to the user’s arm and is small enough to take daily vibration exposure measurements without interfering with normal working activities.
The SV 103 is powered using rechargeable batteries or through the USB interface which also enables easy interconnection between the instrument and a PC. The measurement data is safely stored in the large 8 GB memory. The instrument works with our powerful “Supervisor” software which allows instrument configuration as well as the viewing and exporting of measurement data and daily vibration exposure recalculations. The colour OLED screen displays information in both text and graphical form and offers excellent visibility even in full daylight.

Mems Hand-Arm Accelerometer- SV 105A
technology. It is designed for human vibration measurements performed
according to ISO 8041:2005. The accelerometer is ideally suited for with our SV 106 six channel analyser.
Calibration of the vibration measurement setup including the SV 105A can be done using the accelerometer sensitivity written into the TEDS memory or by using a vibration calibrator with a SA 105 adapter option.
The SV 105A is supplied with three different shaped vibration contact
adapters; SA 150, SA 151 and SA 152 to perfectly match the grip of the tool or device on which vibration measurements are being taken. Each adapter includes an adjustable rubber strap for firm and comfortable attachment of the accelerometer to the operator’s hand. This solution means that the user doesn’t have to worry about holding the accelerometer in any specific way.
Thanks to its magnetic mounting, the SV 105A accelerometer can be quickly and easily attached to the vibration contact adapters and the SA 105 calibration adapter.

Four Channel Sound & Vibration Analyser- SVAN 958A
Simultaneously to the meter mode, SVAN 958A can perform advanced frequency analysis including 1/1 or 1/3 octave analysis, FFT analysis including cross spectra’s and sound intensity measurements. Reverberation Time measurements, noise dose meter and rotation speed measurements are also available. Moreover, SVAN 958A has an exceptional feature of time domain signal recording to the USB memory stick.
SVAN 958A is an ideal choice for “Human Vibration” (according to the ISO 2631-1,2&5 and ISO 5349-1&2 standards). It is offered with all required weighting filters and comprehensive range of equipment for measuring hand-arm and whole-body vibration.
SVAN 958A uniquely does the analysis in four channels. Each of the four channels can work simultaneously with independently configured input (transducer type), filters and RMS detector time constants (e.g. simultaneous three axis measurement of the Whole-Body vibration and noise dose).
Recently SVAN 958A has been improved by implementation of the special KB filter for building vibration measurements meeting the DIN 45669-1 standard (DIN 4150 standard refers to this filter).
SVAN 958A can also perform noise measurement with accuracy of Type 1. Thanks to its four channels it can measure sound by the use of four independent microphones in the same time. What is more, in sound meter mode, each channel uses three independently defined profiles which means that SVAN 958 can perform “multidimensional” analysis of measured signal in every of four channels. In practice it gives a user the possibility to obtain Leq, LMax, LMin, LPeak, Spl, SEL with different weighing filters in the same time.

Miniature Outdoor Logging of Environmental Sound- Moles

Indoor Acoustic Monitoring Station- SV 215
The system can do long term continuous sound level logging (Leq and optional 1/3 octave levels) with a unique capability of simultaneous Audio Events Recording (AER); essential for identification of the related sound source. The AER trigger can be set up manually (audio recording is started by radio remote control positioned up to 50-meters away) or automatically (eg. audio record is triggered when the measured Leq is above a certain level).
The AER time is user programmable as is the sampling frequency which can be selected to 12 kHz, 24 kHz or 48 kHz (48 kHz sampling frequency provides excellent audio signal quality but uses more memory). The AER function also allows recording of up to 4 seconds pre-trigger which helps to ensure that no vital information is missed.
The system contains a SVAN977 acoustic analyser which acts as both analyser and datalogger. The logger file contains both time-history results and audio-events data and is recorded to the microSD contained in the instrument. The logger file can then be downloaded to a PC and verified and played back using SvanPC++ software. As very large memory capacity is available on microSD cards, the logging capabilities are almost unlimited.
The SV 215 box is a lockable hard case with internal foam to support the instrumentation and an external manual trigger for radio-remote control. The microphone and preamplifier are mounted on the top of the case by means of an SA 08 “goose neck” (see photo). The external trigger LED indicator is also exposed on the top of the case to verify manual triggering mode. The system is powered from the internal batteries of the instrument or using an external SA 15 AC/DC power supply.
