 Quality Management & Assurance

Quality Management & Assurance

Having always taken pride in the quality of its products and services, Technicraft was first certified, in 1995, to quality management system BSEN ISO 9001:1994. Over the years, as the standard has evolved, so to has Technicraft in all aspects of the business, resulting in its re-certification, in 2016, to the new standard BSEN ISO 9001:2015.
 CNC Punching

CNC Punching

CNC punching is one of the profile forming methods that Technicraft can offer. Using its state of the art punch press, complex components can be produced simply and efficiently in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. With the ability to also form features such as hinges, louvres, coining and counter sinking, and with a hit rate of 320 hits per minute, this process can lend itself to being the most cost effective method of producing many types of components.
 Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting

Since the first introduction of CO2 lasers in the 1970s, Technicraft has evolved along with the technique itself to enable fast and precise laser profiling. With both 2KW and 4KW machines, the processing of 20mm mild steel, 15mm stainless steel and 10mm aluminium is easily achieved on sheets up to 3m x 1.5m. Large and small repeatable production runs can be accommodated with the aid of fully automated material and component loading and unloading facilities. An accuracy of 0.05mm is achievable on both complex and simple profiles ensuring the highest of quality at all times. Through 3D CAD and offline machine programming, and utilising the most efficient profile nesting software, customers can be assured of the most competitive methods of production.
 CNC Presswork

CNC Presswork

Press work is undertaken using the choice of 5 CNC press brakes varying in size and capacity from 1m to 3m in length. 150 tonnes of linear bending capacity is available for all types of material to be processed. Full CNC control enables high quality and repeatability with continuous in-process laser dimensional checking. Quality procedures ensure pressed components meet customer requirements.
 CNC Tube Bending

CNC Tube Bending

With the availability of its own NC and CNC tube bending facilities, Technicraft can offer quality tube bending. Multiple stack tooling allows for both draw bending and tube rolling within the same product cycle. Offline machine programming and simulation confirms the capacity to bend both simple and complex components prior to full production commitment.
 Welding

Welding

Highly skilled and qualified welders, allied with multiple welding processes including TIG, MIG, spot and stud welding, enables Technicraft to deliver repeatable, superior, quality welding across all types of material. Customers have the choice as to which welding process best suits their product and Technicraft is always able to offer advice when required.
 Finishing

Finishing

Priding itself on high quality products, Technicraft views the finishing processes as equal in importance to the manufacturing of the product itself. Finishing can include the grinding of welds, sanding of sharp corners and large surface areas, and the graining of certain material types. Weld discolouration of stainless steel can be removed through employing electro chemical processes or glass bead blasting can be offered.

Technicraft can offer the inclusion of diverse types of captive fastener such as nutserts, hank bushes, press studs and stand offs as well as stud welding processes. We also can undertake product assembly prior to delivery , this is particularly useful for cabinets and enclosures
