Cable Harnesses and Looms
We have been producing cable harness assemblies at Tenkay for more than 30 years.
Whether your requirements are at prototype levels or at full production, we can help.
We produce harnesses of varying shapes and sizes for many sectors and can provide loose harness to be incorporated on site or harnesses already encased within their enclosures. All looms are produced to supplied drawings and are on boards for easy installation.
Cable harness assemblies produced by Tenkay are tested to your specifications and our own exacting standards using automated test equipment (A.T.E.). The inspection includes insulation flash tests, short circuit and continuity tests.

Printed Circuit Boards
Tenkay has over 20 years of experience in the surface mount and conventional printed circuit board assembly industry. We are able to offer a variety of printed circuit board assembly facilities, ranging from fully conventional to hybrid to fully surface mount.
Tenkay's range of printed circuit board equipment includes: semi automatic component forming and cropping for conventional printed circuit board components, wave solder machine for conventional and surface mount assemblies. Fully automatic iPulse M4e surface mount pick and place machine, with the capability to populate at a rate of 14,000 C.P.H. DEK 03iX Horizon semi automatic surface mount screen printing and the lemme Plus 14 zone convection surface mount reflow oven. 12 heating and 2 cooling zones. Tenkay have also invested in specialist visual equipment for the inspection of surface mount and conventional printed circuit board assemblies.

We have a dedicated area within our complex for the production of cabinets, boxes and panels.
Working from schematics, drawings and run-out data, this self-contained section will manufacture, test and pack your units to your precise specifications.
We produce units for a variety of OEMs, from IC wafer fabrication units for the gas industry, to water analysis for wildlife preservation. Our heavy-duty lifting equipment gives us the ability to produce panels of all sizes and weights

Here at Tenkay, we take the concept of Turn-key production to a different level.
Total Supply Chain Solutions offer you a much easier way to order and control your stock flow, from ordering to delivery: it’s about partnership and trust - and a genuine desire to find cost savings.
We utilise bulk ordering to allow better pricing and facilitate stock control at the manufacturing source. This reduces the need for warehouse space at your premises and in the process expedites direct delivery to your production areas (by agreement). The bottom line is reliable, continuous and flexible supply.
Logistically, it's very simple for you - one order a year. We take your estimated annual usage of a product and advise you of the most economical way to manufacture. We will advise you of the best manufacturing batch sizes and, with agreement from you, will manufacture to maximum and minimum levels to ensure that stock is always available when you require it. Just provide us with your Bill of Material (BOM) and drawing and we'll do the rest.

About us
Tenkay Electronics, was formed in 1982 as a leading specialist of turnkey solutions to the electronics industry. We are an independent component distribution company offering electronic and electrical assemblies to numerous industries throughout the UK. During our reign in the electronic component industry we have grown dramatically and built up a large customer base in Simulation, Medical, Measurement, I C Fabrication, Security and Process Management industries.
After merging with Prototype Electronic Services, a sub contract assembly manufacturing company in 1996, Tenkay was able to offer customers a complete turnkey solution from component distribution to sub-contract manufacture. Contract Manufacturing is now our core activity, but our component procurement expertise remains, meaning clients can benefit from lower costs of manufactured assemblies.
With continued investment in our automation assembly machinery enables us to be competitively priced in the market place giving our customers not only quality products but cost effective solutions for their project.
