TVS Sports Vinyl is, as standard, a preformed point elastic system, which can be tailored to suit any indoor environment. By altering the performance and density of the elastic foam underlays, these systems can be made to suit sports halls, fitness studios, classrooms, hallways and any other area required. The ease of installation and high wear resistance mean they are a popular choice in schools, colleges, universities and leisure facilities worldwide.
Specifically for sports halls, the vinyl can be manufactured to attain all point and mixed elastic performance characteristics. The vinyl layer itself can also be installed directly over a sprung floor to create an area or combined elastic surface.

Elasticity Explained
According to the EN14904 standards for indoor sports, there is a requirement for some impact absorption and deflection when playing multiple sports on a sports surface. This allows for player comfort, reduces the risk of injury and ensures consistency in the sporting performance.
There are a variety of ways to incorporate elasticity into a sports floor. Each is preferred by different sports and specific competition standards. TVS has systems for all 4 elasticity types and can tailor each project’s surface to suit their individual sporting, budgetary and performance requirements.

Functional Fitness Gym Flooring
Functional training can involve dynamic movements utilising multifunctional rigs, kettle-bells, slam balls, battle ropes, sleds and even tractor tyres. It’s important that floor finishes in these training zones provide adequate protection to the
structural slab as well as sufficient grip and cushioning underfoot.
TVS products are made from high quality recycled rubber mixed with EPDM colour granules, bound together with a polyurethane elastomer. Products are comfortable to walk on and absorb impact and room noise. Materials are available with Cfl-s1 fire certification (tested according to EN 13501-1) and benefit from a VOC emissions rating of A+.

Sled Lane Surface
Sled work involves pushing and pulling a weighted sled over a set distance. This distance is usually no less than 10m. It is important this training surface is extremely resistant to wear and provides exercisers with good grip underfoot. A sled lane surface is often a feature within a gym and the design is easily customized by cutting in lines, numbers, letters and even a company logo. For plyometric activities the sled lane can be bonded to a high performing shock pad. Materials suitable for this type of activity include:

Sprint Track Flooring

Usually, a two lane track measures no more than 2.5m in width as this provides an ample space for two runners competing side by side.

Yoga & Pilates Flooring
Yoga and Pilates Interlocking MotionFlex Tile − Motionflex is an interlocking puzzle-mat tile made of fine grain polyurethane foam. It has been developed for indoor applications such as yoga and pilates. It is also suitable for physiotherapy and rehabilitation facilities. Tuned Mass Dampers

Bowling Alley Acoustics
TVS RESi - FF System is designed to create a floating floor or slab to dramatically reduce impact and airborne sound transmission within building structures. The system can be used to support lightweight floors and screeds through to heavy raft foundations, with typical air gaps between floors ranging from 50mm to 150mm.
