Criterion Temperature & Humidity Benchtop

Criterion Temperature & Humidity Benchtop

The Criterion temperature/humidity chamber series provides an economical and space-saving solution for a variety of testing requirements.
Wide temperature range from -70ºC to +180ºC
Lowest temperature: -20, -35, or -70°C (-4, -35, or -100°F)
Highest temperature: 180°C (354°F)
Faster change rate (heat/cool) up to 5°C/min.
The Criterion series can cycle temperatures at a rate of up to 5°C/min. without requiring liquid nitrogen. Significant test time can be saved, as well as creating added thermal stress on your samples. To demonstrate performance, ESPEC uses the international standard IEC 60068 3-5 measured at the supply air. Temperature cycles are run from hot to cold extremes, and the middle 80% of the transition is timed to determine performance. Your actual cycling results will vary depending on methodology, including the start and end temperatures, and the amount of samples loaded.
Chamber sizes: 1.5 or 4 cubic feet
Fully programmable with Watlow F4 controller
The extended temperature ranges of the Criterion series make testing at extreme conditions possible without buying a larger, stand alone chamber. Two chamber sizes are available, as well.
The programmer includes a temperature alarm as just one part of ESPEC’s three-tiered over-temperature protection system. A thermal fuse and a user-set independent limit are also included. In addition, a specimen power terminal allows the user to safely operate powered equipment inside or with the chamber.
Six models, two sizes: 1.5 and 4 cubic foot
Wide temperature range: up to -70 to 180°C
New model with 5°C/min. change rate

TSE Small Thermal Shock

TSE Small Thermal Shock

Simple to install and operate!

Did you think that getting a thermal shock chamber was too expensive, required special utilities, and half your lab-space? The TSE-11 thermal shock chamber is the solution. Only 26 inches wide, the TSE-11 transfers product loads between cold and hot zones with a temperature range of -65°C to 200°C.

Meets strict Mil-Std 883 1010.7/1010.8 thermal cycling requirements with 4 kg. (8 lbs.)
Also can be used for IEC 61300-2-47, JEDEC JESD47E, JESD22-A104, and others
Touch-screen operation is very easy, yet full-featured
Cold zone is cooled by refrigeration. No need for tanks of liquid nitrogen (or cooling water supply)
The only utility required is 208V power
Super quiet operation of less than 60dB
TSD Medium Thermal Shock

TSD Medium Thermal Shock

Large capacity, small footprint
ESPEC developed the TSD-100 with an interior of 710mm x 345mm x 410mm, while strictly limiting the overall size of the system. The footprint is reduced by 40%, as well as lowering power demand by 60% (compared to our ETS4-2CW model).
The TSD-100 chamber now includes a STT function. It monitors the specimen temperature using two sensors attached to the specimen and starts to count the exposure time, or proceeds to the next step once the specimen temperature reaches the preset temperature. This eliminates the need for pretesting, reducing the overall test time and ensures an accurate specimen temperature attainment. The specimen and test area temperatures can be recorded by connecting a temperature recorder.
TSA (Two / Three-Zone) Thermal Shock

TSA (Two / Three-Zone) Thermal Shock

Hot-cold or hot-ambient-cold tests possible

Traditional three-zone thermal shock chambers can be quite large, as three separate chambers are used. The TSA series has just one chamber, substantially reducing its size. Instead, it circulates cold, hot, or ambient air as needed. The conditioned air is pre-cooled or pre-heated beyond the setpoint, allowing quicker recovery of the desired condition after transfer.
New Eco-Mode is standard for all models. Eco-mode manages the pre-conditioning and modulates refrigeration systems to reduce energy usage. Savings of up to 50% over previous models are possible.

Features
Test samples don’t move
Horizontal airflow design assures uniform results
Extremely compact systems with a vertically sliding door for added space savings
Utilizes the latest refrigeration technology: electronic expansion valve and scroll compressor
Touch screen programmer makes operation easy
Power consumption savings
Stability Walk-In

Stability Walk-In

Especially designed for steady-state operation
Stability walk-in rooms are an ESPEC specialty, designed for light-duty testing or long-term steady-state evaluation of pharmaceuticals and other products.
Panelized Chamber/Room
Our panelized walk-in chambers use urethane-foam panels in a stainless steel or galvanized interior skin. The panels are locked together with internal cam latches. This is the same construction used for walk-in coolers in restaurants and supermarkets, but of a higher quality.
Temperature and Humidity Control
ESPEC has standard air conditioning systems, called Modular Air Plenums (MAP). These MAPs are designed with the proper heating, refrigeration, and humidity control to achieve your desired performance and capabilities. The MAP simply rolls-up to an assembled panel chamber to complete installation.
Features
Stainless steel interior (or galvanized for savings)
Painted galvanized steel exterior for long life
MAP service doors are hinged (no tools or lifting)
Easy access to components
Reliable steam generator system for humidity applications
Sheathed electric heaters for safety and reliability
Adjustable vanes in supply grille allow directing of airflow as needed
Solid Walk-In

Solid Walk-In

Environmental Chambers for Solar Panel Testing
Our chambers are solid, one-piece construction, using fibreglass insulation and an angle-iron frame. The stainless steel interior liner is reinforced and continuously welded, including leak-testing for integrity.
The angle-iron frame provides enough structural strength to allow a full-opening door for easy loading of large arrays without restriction. A full-opening door can also allow floor-space saving over panel chambers.

Our chambers are compliant for the following test methods:
Thermal Cycle Test
Requires temperature cycling between 85°C and -40°C, 50 or 200 times

Humidity Freeze Test
Cycling between hot/humid 85°C/85%rh and subfreezing -40°C ten times, with extended soaks at 85/85

Damp Heat Test
A long term, 1,000 hours, test at 85°C/85%
ESPEC chamber for Damp Heat Testing only is also available.
Drive-In Chambers

Drive-In Chambers

Custom Systems for Vehicle Testing
Environmental testing of automobiles requires additional consideration of the facility where the chamber will be installed, and its planned use. Test methods for vehicles can include additional conditions besides temperature and humidity in an attempt to simulate real-world conditions.
ESPEC builds special floor interfaces to allow use of these additional types of equipment supplied by other vendors.

Infra-red lighting
ESPEC builds infrared systems to create radiant surface heating of vehicles to look for deformation and other quality problems. These systems can be adjusted vertically and angled to ensure even coverage.

Running vehicle
From cold-start to high-heat stress, a running engine is a common need, but complicated requirement fresh air must be conditioned and introduced to the chamber to make up for that used in combustion. Also the exhaust must be safely removed from the chamber.

Features
Stainless steel interior
Heavy-duty flooring to support vehicles
Painted galvanized steel exterior for long life
Large doors
Special MAP system with larger refrigeration and additional airflow capability
MAP service doors are hinged (no tools or lifting)
Easy access to frequently checked refrigeration components
Customisation to suit additional test requirements
