Polo Shirts

There is some confusion as to the origin of the iconic polo shirt, a workwear staple. Many believe it was developed by Rene Lacoste some time in the 1920s, but others believe it is older and dates back to the days of the Rajah at polo matches in India in the mid 1800s. The original sweatshirt was designed by Benjamin Russell Jr. in 1920 as a casual and sports wear item.
