VoIP Migration

VoIP Migration

When you are ready to make the move call us now on 0333 241 7707 or mail sales@wizards.co.uk.

Migrate Numbers
All organisations have published numbers they need to continue to operate so to maintain continuity migration of current numbers including extensions and DDIs onto any new system is vital. For Wizards, migrating numbers as part of the change in business phone systems is a simple everyday task. We just ask that you DON’T cancel any services before agreeing a timetable with us; cancelled lines means numbers are lost for good.

Drive Down Costs With VoIP
Wizards will build your VoIP phone system based on your particular requirements. Wizards are able to offer arrangements with you owning phone hardware or included as part of the monthly fee. UK landline and mobile calls are typically included with monthly fees and where there is upfront cost we would look to show a return over a period of months on that investment against current charges. Cost reductions come through elimination of various fixed costs such as ISDN rental, PBX maintenance and call charges. Overall we would look to substantially reduce your outgoings on telephony as well as delivering a much more flexible service allowing working from home and on the road plus increased reliability.

Easy to Manage Moves Adds and Changes
Another fundamental for any business; you can either access a simple easy to use interface meaning you can manage the changes you need or we can manage them for you.
What Is VoIP And Why Is It Important?

What Is VoIP And Why Is It Important?

As a mechanism of delivering business phone systems VoIP is becoming the de facto standard replacing conventional PSTN/POTS technology in the UK superseding ISDN as BT will retire the network in 2025. Convectional phones (POTS/PSTN systems) are hardware based and transmit phone calls via an analogue signal using the whole line. Put simply VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), compresses the call transmitting it as data packets across the Internet using IP (Internet Protocol) technology. This means the call can share a line with your other internet traffic and other voice calls. The result is a more flexible, reliable and above all cheaper service.

There are 2 ways a VoIP Phone System can be delivered; they are usually from the cloud or from servers held on your premises; the choice of which is typically dictated by the number of seats required, where they are used geographically and whether you wish to use features such as call recording or video calling.

Wizards VoIP solutions choices are dictated by numbers of users, planned and unplanned growth or decline in requirements and customer budget. Wizards approach has never been one size fits all to find the package that fits your needs please contact Wizards via sales@wizards.co.uk or 0333 241 7707.
Cloud Deployment of 3CX Soft PBX System

Cloud Deployment of 3CX Soft PBX System

Our largest VoIP Partner is 3CX Software Based VoIP PBX; this is a phone system running on a conventional computer rather than a dedicated piece of proprietary hardware. This computer may be located on your premises or remotely in a data centre meaning you have options over the availability of your phone system.

We have been working with 3CX for a number of years http://www.3cx.com/ and chose to do so as it is a reliable system undergoing significant ongoing development over the time we have worked with them. They are a significant European owned software vendor with 50,000 customers worldwide and customers that include Boeing, Hugo Boss, City of Vienna, McDonalds, Wilson Sports, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, Harley Davidson and MIT. The 3CX soft PBX system delivers these benefits::

Low Cost 0333, 0303 & Geographic Numbers

Low Cost 0333, 0303 & Geographic Numbers

0303 Numbers and 0333 Numbers are local call rate numbers meaning any caller from anywhere in the UK calling you does so at the local call rate. Lots of reasons to consider such numbers including:

Call Routing. Calls may be flexibly redirected to any destination including overseas on demand which means calls are answered in different call centres according to the point of origin of the call and/or time of day.
One Number Principle. Organisations with more than 1 location may advertise a single national phone number rather different numbers for each locale.
Location Neutrality. Geographic numbers are by definition linked with specific areas. Non-geographic numbers deliver a mechanism of broadening the geographic area they appear to cover and obviates the need to change phone numbers in the event of relocation or expansion.
Resilience and Disaster Recovery. Standard geographic based landline numbers may become unreachable in the event of a fault or damage to the telephone network in that specific area. Non-geographic numbers mean incoming calls can be easily redirected to alternative locations as required.
Local Call Charges. Using 0303 and 0333 numbers means all calls are charged at the local rate or included in any pre-paid minutes wherever in the UK the call is placed.

Geographic Numbers

We can offer ranges of any UK geographic numbers very cheaply giving you a presence wherever you like in the UK. This enables you to test local or regional advertising by publishing the local number, counting and reviewing responses via your VoIP system.

When you are ready to talk about 0303 and 0333 and geographic numbers free plus any other services contact us on 0333 241 7707 or use sales@wizards.co.uk

Your VoIP Extension On Your Mobile

Wizards can deliver your extension directly to your mobile using a highly available Multi Net SIM. Working on both smartphones and feature phones and delivered using either a conventional SIM or eSIM it means all VoiP or 3CX calls are delivered using the included minutes over the cellular network.

All Phone Types Supported

Clearly you can run these perfectly normal SIMs and eSIMs in any mobile but assuming you wish to run this alongside an existing mobile contract all you need is a handset that supports dual SIMs which is near ubiquitous now.
Internet Connectivity

Internet Connectivity

Internet Connectivity runs through Wizards blood; as one of the first UK ISPs we began delivering these services in 1994 and retain the expertise to deliver what you will need.

Business Class Internet Connectivity

Fixed line options are determined by network availability at your location and our advice is to always call Wizards about the available options in new premises before signing a lease or purchase agreement as we can review those options by address and postcode.

Your options are:

Broadband with options including FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet), FTTP (Fibre to the Premises), SoGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access)
5G Routers useful where fixed line options are limited or as a failover/backup solution to a fixed line solution; can be temporary or permanent.
Lease lines. Typically commanding a higher monthly price than broadband and occasionally an upfront investment these are the highest bandwidth and most robust solutions with service level agreements delivering guaranteed levels of service over dedicated connections.
Satellite broadband is available but our experience is that it is an expensive option.
Broadband Options

Broadband Options

Fixed line options at your premises are determined by the availability of the network in your location; to review that please contact Wizards on contact us on 0333 241 7707 or use sales@wizards.co.uk. Your options are, taking these from worst (slowest) to best are follows:

ADSL
After dial up this is the longest established form of Internet access. The acronym stands for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line and is a broadband connection operating through the copper wires of existing phone lines. It’s relatively low bandwidth means it is mainly used for home broadband and some small businesses. The asymmetric nature of ADSL means upload speeds are typically 5-7% of download speeds which vary considerably depending on location and more especially distance (length of copper wire) from the exchange. The peak speed you can get with ADSL broadband is 24Mbps and in 2021 speed in urban areas was typically 14.7Mbps, more than double the speed of rural areas, where it was 6.2Mbps.

Fibre Internet Access FTTC and where Available FTTP and GFast

The entire UK network is being upgraded to fibre so these technologies are being rolled out and becoming more widely available especially in urban areas. Again while these technologies will deliver substantially more bandwidth than ADSL actual real life performance is driven by many factors including actual cable lengths from the exchange. One of the many advantages to adopting these technologies is the fact that replacing network equipment means newer and hence more reliable hardware.

Wizards have access many databases that confirm which of these are available at your address so please contact us on 0333 241 7707 or use sales@wizards.co.uk.
SoGEA - What Is It And Why Does It Matter?

SoGEA - What Is It And Why Does It Matter?

SoGEA: Next Generation Broadband

SOGEA is defined as Single Order Generic Ethernet Access and it’s purpose is to supersede conventional FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) broadband which it does this by eliminating the requirement for a conventional analogue phone line. SoGEA uses the same infrastructure as FTTC so retains existing speeds and capacity. By adopting SoGEA you are choosing to use the very newest and so most reliable hardware available in the network and you eliminate the requirement for line rental which saves you money.
