Specialist Sensors & Detectors

Merlin Mains Signalling Technology
The Merlin Mains Signalling systems use the existing mains power wiring within a building or complex to create a signalling path for the communication of simple signals, such as alarms, slow data, and switching signals, without the need to install new wiring. They offer the benefits of both a wireless signalling system and a hard-wired communication path.
Plinth Alarms
The Xtra-Sense alarm system can be built into customised display plinths or pedestals, which become self contained and fully portable security devices. Plinth Alarms are ideal for displaying single items, and especially suitable where either mobility and portability are important, or where a fully wire free security system is required.

Kit Alarm Systems
The Xtra-Sense kits are designed to offer a highly flexible security product that can be easily adapted to a wide range of display arrangements. They are simple to install, and can be set up without any specialist skills.
Kit systems comprises one or more sensors that connect together via thin, two core wiring back to a control / alarm box. Once connected together, the system is self adjusting.

Sensor Pad Alarms
The Xtra-Sense Pad Alarms are a combination of the Plinth and Kit systems, comprising: one or more Sensor Pads, an Alarm Box, and link wiring.
Sensor Pads are similar to Plinths, but are fitted only with sensors. Like the Kits, the Sensor Pads must be linked to an Alarm Box by simple two-core wiring.
Sensor Pads can be as small as required, and can have a depth profile of down to approximately 8 to 10mm.

Painting Alarms
The Xtra-Sense technology has been developed into devices for detecting attempts to remove or damage paintings.
Detector devices locate behind the painting and monitors changes in pressure between the painting and wall.
There is no requirement to fix the unit to the painting. It is ideal for use with conventional wall hooks, as the detector unit can be simply hung from the hook.
