Clocks

Clocks

We have been producing interior and exterior clocks for over three decades, building a reputation worldwide for the quality of our products and the high level of service we provide.

We offer a large standard range of clock dial styles and sizes up to 2400mm, which can be mounted directly to a wall or housed within one of our Roof Turrets, Bezels, Drums or Pillar Clock features.

Our Design Team can help create a bespoke clock to suit your requirements, manufactured to any size up to 6000mm in diameter and from virtually any material. Dials can be customised with sign written names, initials, dates and corporate logos.
Roof Turrets

Roof Turrets

We have one of the largest standard range of roof turrets available, with a wide choice of styles and sizes available to suit any application. Our attractive GRP roof turrets can be used simply for their aesthetic appeal or for specific functions - a clock tower, to carry a weathervane, as a source of natural light or as a venting outlet.

Each roof turret is designed and manufactured using low maintenance GRP to meet specific requirements of the customer. A great deal of attention is given to the moulding details and roof finishes ensuring that the original style, colour and even surface finishes of traditional materials are maintained.

With a range of body and roof styles available and a choice of colour, we can produce a design to suit any property. Our Standard colour for the turret body is White BS 00E55 with the roofs and skirts in Lead Grey BS 10A11. We also offer an option for the body to be in Off White RAL 9001 and Cream BS 10C31 at no extra cost. Other colour combinations can be produced but will incur and additional charge.
GRP Features

GRP Features

GRP has opened up many new avenues for Architects and creative designers, its unique physical properties allow it to be easily tooled, molded and manufactured to meet almost any specification. In order to imitate the original detailing found on traditional roofing all of our moulds for grp roofs and features are taken from hand crafted lead, copper and tile patterns.

Realistic surface finishes, colour matching and even aging is achievable. We have a large range of special moulds, which can be used in numerous ways such as on lift shafts, restaurants, entrances, etc.. The advantages of working with GRP are reduced weight, increased strength and minimal maintenance.

Replicas or replacements of past or existing structures can be manufactured in GRP, working from photographs or even measuring what is left of the original feature.
Finials

Finials

We manufacture a large range of Lead effect grey GRP Finials and Copper Finials all of which can be supplied with a Verdigris Patina where required.

Our finials can be supplied with a fixing kit for mounting on to your existing structure or can be fitted to one of our standard clock towers, cupolas or roof turrets.

Each of our standard finial designs can be adapted to turn them in to a bespoke solution to suit your requirements with the addition of spikes, extra balls and base skirts.
Clock Components

Clock Components

We design and manufacture our own high quality mechanisms using CNC machinery in our state of the art factory. Where possible our mechanisms are produced exclusively in brass and stainless steel.

In conjunction with industry leading electronics experts we have developed a range of clock, bell chime and bell strike control systems for automated BST / GMT changes, power failure correction and accurate time synchronisation anywhere in the world. All of our products come with dedicated error free cabling and easy to follow instructions. Our standard controllers include our Resynchroniser, the Total Control System with MSF or GPS and our Total Control System with Tempus Time Chip.

Our clock hands come in all different shapes and sizes and are generally produced in satin stainless steel, which can be polished, powder coated or traditionally hand gilded with 23 1/2 carat Gold Leaf.

Our interior clocks are made to order and whilst we have many standard components that can be used in them, we do not offer a standard clock. The clock factory team will help create a clock to suit your requirements, manufactured to any size and from virtually any material. Dials can be customised with sign written names, initials, dates and corporate logos.

Domes / Roofs

Domes / Roofs

As well as our standard range of GRP roof turrets and clock towers we also manufacture much larger roof features and GRP domes. The greatest advantage of GRP decorative features over conventional materials is the ability to design and build large structures conceived as a whole and not as an assembly of parts which have to be jointed together.

For example a 5m diameter fibreglass ( GRP ) dome requires none of the conventional support structure inside the building, enabling a large open area within the building and space directly beneath the dome. The self supporting structure can also be easily lifted into position and installed using minimum man power and a crane within only a few hours.
Canopies

Canopies

An abbreviation for ’glass reinforced polyester’ GRP is a lightweight, durable and astonishingly tough constructional material with a very long life span. Our GRP roof canopies, GRP domes and GRP roof features, in the same way as our GRP roof turrets, are also easier to install than their traditional material counterparts, require no painting and minimal maintenance.

A great deal of attention is given to the moulding details and roof finishes of our canopies ensuring that the original style, colour and even surface finishes of traditional materials are maintained.
Building Features

Building Features

GRP decorative features can be made to emulate any number of naturally occurring surfaces, such as timber, tile, stone or lead and because there are few constraints on size, shape, colour or finish, this can deliver great design and appearance whilst being cost effective.

In order to imitate the original detailing found on traditional buildings all of our moulds are taken from hand crafted patterns. Realistic surface finish, colour matching and even aging is achievable.

GRP building features are very strong and have almost seven times the flexible strength of steel but are extremely lightweight, which makes installation much simpler than traditional material counterparts, saving costs and helping to reduce Health and Safety issues on site.

GRP also has an exceedingly long life span with low maintenance requirements and in a half-century of composite development, well designed GRP structures have yet to wear out.
Copper Finials

Copper Finials

All of our standard copper finials are made from 100% copper with a brass support tube, which has been formed and then either welded or soldered. We recommend leaving the finials to age naturally however we do offer a painted and Verdigris patina finish as well.

Each of our standard finial designs can be adapted to turn them in to a bespoke solution to suit your requirements with the addition of spikes, extra balls and base skirts.
Bespoke GRP Finials

Bespoke GRP Finials

Our standard range of GRP finials normally used on our roof turrets and clock towers can be adapted to suit customers requirements, matching them to a preferred colour or adding a skirt so they can be used to cap a roof.

Alternatively we can manufacture a totally bespoke finial to the customers own design.
Bespoke Metal Finials

Bespoke Metal Finials

We produce custom finials to suit individual designs, such as crosses for churches, crescent moons for mosques or even internally illuminated colour changing finials. We can produce finials in Aluminium, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Copper.

Replicas of original finials or bespoke designs can be manufactured in copper. We can also adapt our standard copper finials used on our roof turrets and clock towers by adding extra balls, scrolls, base skirts or ridge cappings.
Silhouette Weathervanes

Return Edge Clocks

Return Edge Clocks

Our return edge style interior and exterior clocks can be manufactured to enable quick and easy installation onto a wall indoors or outdoors using the brackets on the side of the clock. The depth of the clock means that it is simply surface mounted and the mechanism hidden behind the dial, with no need for a recess behind or a long shaft through the wall.

We offer return edge clock dials in our standard sizes from 300mm up to 915mm.

Alternatively we can take a blank return edge clock dial and sign write it with Arabic numerals, simple chapters, rectangles, circles or any other bespoke design required.

If a protective cover glass or back illumination of the clock dial is required the clock will need to be housed in one of our bezel housings instead of having a return edge.
Bezel Clocks

Bezel Clocks

We offer a range of exterior clocks with choice of bezel surrounds that enable a dial, mechanism and back illumination to be surface mounted on any structure or wall.

As standard we offer GRP decorative designs up to 1500mm, as well as a simple aluminium design with flat return edges. Each bezel profile has been designed to complement the companys range of Classic, Traditional and Skeleton clock styles.

Lighting, signage, sign writing, company logos and electronic bell chiming systems can be incorporated into clock designs. A protective glass cover made from impact-modified acrylic can be applied to the clock face if required.
