My parents had a filing cabinet but had lost the keys. I ordered replacements from Ammerhurst (Keysplease) around midday on Friday using the number code on the cabinet lock. The keys arrived by Saturday morning! When I tried them they wouldn't fit into the lock and so I phoned Ammerhurst who asked me to email a photo of the lock. They quickly identified the problem - there was an old key broken off in the lock. When I managed to get this out the keys worked perfectly. Really pleased with the service from Ammerhurst and grateful for their advice.

The keys arrived very promptly a few days ago. I tried them in the lock, they fitted and partially turned, but didn't seem to do the trick so I gave up in frustration. I was about to write to you this evening to share my disappointment but thought I would have a further try with the aid of some WD40 and elbow wriggling... Success!! The key turned a little further and the lock suddenly popped out! This was to my great astonishment since I was utterly fed up with the whole situation, the amount of time and cost of keys I had spent on it, and had lost all hope. Did I mention that it was my wife who had somehow managed to lock the thing in the first place...?!! Anyhow it is humble pie that I ever doubted you and asked so many sceptical questions! Instead I am writing to thank you for the excellent service! And whoever cuts the keys for you deserves an honorary degree in obscure locks, since absolutely everyone else I contacted, and the forums I wrote posts on, couldn't recognise the code and said it was impossible. Most grateful. I shall save a note of your details (in my filing cabinet...?), and pass them on to anyone I come across with a similar difficulty!
