Initially the company was founded in Milan in 1937, but Mapei cemented its commitment to the UK market with the development of a brand new state of the art facility in 2004 in Halesowen, West Midlands. Their previous facilities were located in Middlesborough from 1989.
The 7.5 acre UK headquarters is Mapei's 47th manufacturing plant worldwide. The building accommodates manufacturing, stock, marketing, sales and technical services. In addition, on site training facilities and regular training and educational sessions are available.
Manufacturing facilities at Halesowen are capable of producing up to 103,000 tonnes of products annually. The competent and large number of staff employed at Mapei UK provides excellent support and assistance to an ever increasing customer base of over 500.
