Paul and I have worked together on two major projects. The first the transformation of the Aquados detergent brand which in research consumers described as a cheap Spanish washing powder. The application of some challenger thinking and some real consumer insight developed a brief from which Paul and I created Simply Washing....not just a product redesign but a value driven platform for the development of the brand and busienss. Was it successful?...it outsold the brand leader Ecover 3:1 on Sainsbury's shelves. Paul also worked on the rebranding of Virgin Health Bank developing a look that was more emotionally engaging and much more "Virgin" than the original designs and logo. Not a supplier...a valued member of the team
From the most complex & challenging briefs Paul has the ability to deliver great results everytime. He is quick to put his customers needs before his own and will work flat out to ensure clients expectations are fullfilled...oh and one last thing...he makes the nicest coffee !
When I met Paul I was looking for a Designer to work on our Project. We had been badly let down by other people so I was feeling very sensitive about hiring the wrong person again. Within 5 minutes of chatting to Paul on the phone I knew I had found the Designer for us. He understood me & the project instantly. When we met up with Paul for the first time he had already worked on a porfolio of ideas for the Purple Vouchers project. He then went away & designed our Logo which we are delighted with. Since then Paul has Designed our Website, Media Packs, Business Cards, Email Flyers etc.... The list is endless. Not only is his work excellent he turns it around quickly & efficiently & copes quietly with my last minute demands on his time! Consequently Paul is a valuable member of the Purple Vouchers team & I am hoping we will still be working together in Ten Years time, I would & do recommend Paul to anyone .
Paul has worked with us taking products from concept right through to production. He has worked with us on complete branding projects and I cannot recommend him strongly enough for the quality and professionalism of his work.
Paul is the best strategic creative thinker I have come across. He thinks about the pure business objectives first, then filters this down into strategic deliverables before concentrating on superb creative execution. A unique combination in my view. I have worked with him firstly as a colleague, then employing his agency with me as client while at Best Western Hotels and finally working for him as an Account Director at Nourish Agency, where he was MD.
Without a shadow of a doubt Paul is the best direct marketing creative I have ever worked with. He has great insight and creative ability but also has a real-world attitude to his work - no over-inflated ego here. Just excellent work every time. I would employ him tomorrow!
