Work begins on test tower for future elevators
Towards the end of last year, ThyssenKrupp announced the first stage of their new test tower project in Germany. This will culminate in nine test towers being present on the site, which will become an innovation centre, increasing investment and job opportunities in the region. We announced similar plans from a competitor as companies look to build bigger, faster and far more advanced elevators.

British thermometers catch the eye at Anuga FoodTec
Thermometer manufacturer, TME, caught everyone’s eye at this year’s Anuga FoodTec, combining an iconic German vehicle with some classic British styling to showcase its products in Europe. A 1972 VW Campervan took centre stage on the TME stand, kitted out from roof rack to cooker with innovative temperature solutions from TME’s expanding thermometer range – and many visitors couldn’t resist a closer look.
