Home Safety
In the UK every year more than 5,000 people die in accidents in the home and more than 2.7 million turn up at accident and emergency department seeking treatments. But, because the accidents happen behind closed doors in isolated incidents they rarely attract public and media attention. RoSPA is one of the few national voices speaking out on this issue. We also campaign for change and provide a large range of resources to inform, educate and help to prevent accidents in the home and garden.
Leisure Safety
RoSPA Leisure Safety department are focused in reducing the several hundred downing related deaths that happen in the UK every year. RoSPA provide balanced advice and campaign for change and drive improvements where appropriate. This is carried out by working with a wide range of professionals, the UK government and most importantly members of the public.
Safety in Schools, Colleges & Universities
Safety is a major factor in schools and colleges ensuring pupil and student safety is met. All teaching academies have a legal responsibility for safety as an integral part of the Ofsted framework. Our aim is to provide the schools and colleges with advice and support helping them understand the importance of managing health and safety in a proportional and planned way. RoSPA’s approach is that we should endeavour to make schools as safe as necessary, not as safe as possible.
Child Safety
A big part of RoSPA's mission is to stop children being accidentally killed or injured. As part of our campaign to protect society's most vulnerable, we offer advice, information and resources for safety practitioners, parents, teachers and other professionals who work with children about child safety on the road, in the home and at play.
Driver Training
Over the years RoSPA has built and unrivaled reputation in the provider of driver training courses and fleet safety solutions. No other organisation has done more to promote road safety in the UK than RoSPA.
