You probably won’t be aware but as we shut up the office for the weekend on Friday one of the shutters was jammed and failed to close. I called our managing agents to arrange for an engineer to come out and they called Stanair. I was told that someone would be with me within the hour and someone was. The engineer, whose name I believe was Huw Bennett, was very pleasant, fixed the problem quickly and with expertise and then offered to wait while I locked up and watched me to my car. It is rather dark and lonely out here at that time of the night (around 7.45-8pm) and it wasn’t where I wanted to be on a Friday evening. It was very pleasant to be treated with such kindness and concern after a particularly trying day and evening and not something you experience very often these days, hence this email.I believe that service like this needs to be praised especially in this day and age when it is a rarity. Thank you to Stanair for both the assistance with the shutter and for having staff who add that little bit extra!

I should like to take this opportunity to commend your company for the excellent response to a recent shutter issue at our Wellingborough premises.Thanks to the idiotic behaviour of a group of local youths, the shutter at the office sustained damage, preventing us from securing the premises overnight.My initial phone call to your out-of-hours service was returned well within the promised response time. However, instead of sending out an engineer at emergency rates, your colleague talked me through a technique to ease the shutter down, thus saving me a considerable sum in call-out charges.Two days later, your technicians arrived to repair the shutter. This they achieved in a short period of time without any inconvenience to our normal operations.Throughout the exercise, Stanair were extremely courteous and helpful and went out of their way to avoid charging us for anything that could be avoided, rather than taking advantage of the situation.I should be happy to recommend Stanair for their ethical approach and the prompt and efficient manner in which the task was handled.Thanks
