Site: Dewsbury Railway Station & Cliffe Street Public Car ParkClient: Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council
Product: Height Restrictors and Bollards
Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council approached Autopa to provide a bespoke solution to stop unwanted groups from gaining access onto their public car parks and setting up camp.
Unauthorised encampment was becoming a frequent problem for the parking office at the council, resulting in reduced parking areas, disruption and costly clean up operations.
Our flexible range of fixed and swing height restrictors enabled the council to restrict access for larger vehicles, whilst not restricting use by the general public.
Our turn-key service started with a free site survey, to assess the site conditions, measure the areas and advise a suitable solution.
Each Height Restrictor was manufactured to fit the individual road spans, ranging from 6m to 7.4m and an additional 7m Swing Height Restrictor which allows access for high sided loading vehicles, when required.
The customer was kept up-to-date throughout the manufacturing process, and following manufacture, installation commented on the agreed date, and was completed within 5 days.
The final solution provided 7 Fixed and Swing Height Restrictors, plus 9 fixed Black and Yellow Bollards.
