Sherborne Sensors LSOC: a market leading Servo Inclinometer
29 April 2014
A flexure suspension, high precision servo inclinometer, Sherborne Sensors’ market-leading LSOC delivers precision angular measurements for a wide variety of applications. The LSOC and its LSOC-P variant remains one of the best and most cost-effective type of servo inclinometer for general-purpose precision tilt measurements.
Our LSOC sensors are available in standard ranges from +/-1° to +/-90° with analogue voltage or current outputs. Fully self-contained and connected to a DC power source and control device they form a complete tilt measurement system providing continuous operation in temperatures from -18°C to +70°C. Customised variants can be supplied to meet customers’ specific application requirements.
The LSOC sensor’s robust design can withstand mechanical shock of 1,500g and this makes it ideally suited to harsh operating environments, such as continuous steel casting monitoring, guidance systems for Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs), rail track monitoring and geological subsidence surveys.
We have manufactured thousands of the LSO sensors in the last decade demonstrating the product’s enviable reputation for accuracy and long-term reliability. Sherborne Sensors holds the internationally recognised AS9100 Rev C quality management certification for commercial aviation, space and defence organisations. AS9100C provides independent validation of our commitment to produce products of the highest possible quality that meet our customers’ most demanding requirements for reliability.
While there are other manufacturers of LSOC devices, none can match the heritage, expertise and market experience of Sherborne Sensors.
