Notts Sport Wins Biggest Ever Contract

Leicestershire-based Notts Sport is celebrating after securing a prestige contract which is the biggest single deal in its 24-year history.
Under a two-year agreement, the Oadby-based leading synthetic surfacing supplier will supply its VHAF NottsSward play surface to playground equipment specialists Playforce, for use as its preferred surfacing on forthcoming playground projects.
Over the duration of the contract, Playforce is set to take delivery of over 86,000 square metres of VHAF NottsSward surfacing – enough to cover the equivalent of 14 football pitches.
And Playforce is also set to purchase Notts Sport’s textile underlays for playground schemes requiring additional impact absorption to prevent injury to children falling from play equipment.
Chief Executive of Notts Sport, Shaun Patrick, says: “Playforce is a market leading company attracting huge interest from play providers throughout the UK, and we’re pleased our surfacing has been chosen to partner its high-quality equipment.
“Notts Sport surfacing systems have a number of qualities which work very well across the Playforce range – they provide safer play for its Active Play equipment, colour and texture for the Imaginative Play range, and a clean, quick-draining and mud-free surface for the company’s recreational schemes and outdoor classrooms.
“We are looking forward to seeing children enjoy Playforce equipment together with Notts Sport surfaces over the coming years.”
