Packline offer bespoke lifting solutions
26 February 2007
Hot on the heels of Packline’s launch of their new Compac Mark 5 manoeuvrable Stainless Steel lifting machine comes a further announcement from the Poole based manufacturer.
Chris Baker, Packline’s Managing Director, said “One of our best kept secrets is our ability to work with our clients to create lifting solutions specific to their requirements. There are certain applications not covered by Packline’s standard range of products and we can provide economical solutions to even the most difficult of lifting challenges.” Example of a recent bespoke project was the design and manufacture of a battery lifting attachment as illustrated. The attachment was developed for a well known car manufacturer to assist the safe placement of batteries on the assembly lines Chris also mentions that Packline’s design department is equipped with the latest 3D Cad software which ensures that designs can be developed and principles proven economically in the shortest lead-times. Utilizing the company’s in house design facility and engineering resource enables Packline to provide its customers with a full design-to-manufacture service. Each new design is fully tested; CE marked, documented and detailed technical files created to meet the latest legislation and health & safety directives. With both manufacture and assembly taking place within Packline’s modern workshop, using the latest CNC technology, coupled with stringent quality control procedures, enables the provision of a cost effective solution to customer requirements. Previous customers utilizing this service include such household names as Rolls Royce Motor Cars, Walkers and British Airways – along with a host of other manufacturers, assemblers and fabricators. * Packline has recently launched their new and improved Compac Mark 4. This new and improved manoeuvrable lifting machine is now at the leading edge of design, electronics and ergonomics which will benefit users in many different manufacturing and fabricating premises.
