INSPIRE08 business awards for LG Motion Ltd
19 January 2009
Leading motion control systems designer, manufacturer and supplier, LG Motion Ltd, wins prestigious business awards.
LG Motion Ltd has won two prestigious awards for local businesses in Basingstoke and North Hampshire as part of the INSPIRE08 Business Awards supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Business Link. The leading motion control systems designer, supplier and manufacturer won the Business of the Year award and, as Managing Director of both LG Motion and leading machine framing specialist MiniTec UK Ltd, Gary Livingstone won the keenly contested Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The INSPIRE08 Business Awards, presented at a Gala Dinner held at The Anvil in Basingstoke, are sponsored and judged by Hampshire County Council, HSBC Bank and The Royal Bank of Scotland along with many other leading local businesses. The awards are open to companies and entrepreneurs from across the region and allow leading firms (both large and small) and individuals to gain the recognition they deserve.
LG Motion was formed in 2004 and has enjoyed an average of over twenty percent annual growth and a year-on-year increase in exports. The Company works closely with its customers and distribution partners to select the most appropriate and competitive motion solutions to match the application, providing both component level and system engineering services. For many applications this extends beyond the motion system and includes machine controls, machine frames and specialist technology integration with custom designed components and innovative processes for production, assembly and test.
MiniTec UK Ltd began trading in June 2005 as a subsidiary of MiniTec Maschinenbau GmbH to provide direct sales, application support, custom manufacturing and an installation service for its wide range of modular machine building systems. MiniTec UK has paralleled LG Motion’s growth and success, and the two companies work closely together to provide everything from machine frames and guards to complete assembly lines from its comprehensive range of aluminium profiles and matching machine building components.
Gary Livingstone said “We are delighted to receive both INSPIRE08 awards which reflect the dedication and hard work put in by all of our staff.”
