A pressing matter in Milton Keynes
08 September 2016
Temporary buildings from CopriSystems have helped an established engineering business increase its warehouse capacity. Two further canopies were installed on a Milton Keynes site to complement the existing two.
Operating from two sites, Milton Keynes Pressings supply metal pressings and welded assemblies to many different industries. The group’s focus on customer service and delivering engineering solutions allowed them to successfully remain competitive in the market. When their success meant they needed extra space for their product, they turned to CopriSystems, who had installed the two existing coverings on their site in 2001 and 2007.
Director at CopriSystems, Rafe Colenso was pleased to have a returning customer. “It’s been 15 years since my father worked with MKP to install the initial canopy in 2001,” he says. “It’s great to have a loyal customer – it’s proof of a job well done even after over a decade.”
Although planning permission was initially declined for the two extra canopies due to circumstances beyond control, resubmission of the application was allowed free of charge by Milton Keynes Council. CopriSystems carried out the additional work free of charge, and permission was granted to install the canopies after the second application.
Rafe continues: “At CopriSystems we don’t let minor setbacks get in the way of the task at hand. We are committed to providing a cradle to grave approach to service, and this project was a prime example of that.”
The two canopies were installed together, utilising the space next to and behind the existing structures. New doorways were lined to maximise space and utilisation too.
Senior Project Manager of MKP, Neal Read was delighted with the hard work and dedication CopriSystems put into the project. “The team was involved right from inception to delivery and I was especially pleased that extra work was carried out free of charge when we hit a snag in the planning process.
“I’d recommend CopriSystems to anyone looking for a reliable company to install a canopy or temporary covering.”
Director at CopriSystems, Rafe Colenso, was proud to hear MKP were pleased with the work. “I’m pleased that Milton Keynes Pressings are happy with their new canopies,” he says. “Keeping products dry and preventing damage to goods is essential to businesses, especially at peak times. It not only keeps costs down, but it also ensures successful firms can retain their valuable business regardless of their space constraints.
“At CopriSystems, we provide a wide range of temporary and permanent logistics canopies and coverings – all structurally engineered to exacting standards.”
