30% Boost in Visits after Play Installation

A family friendly, local community pub has seen a 30% increase in visits after an outdoor play and seating area was installed by Sovereign.
The Philadelphia is a popular gastro pub in Tyne and Wear that found a significant rise in guests after acting on an opportunity to give its outdoor space a new lease of life. The aim was to improve its outdoor area while providing added value to guests.Emma Sherburn, Area Manager at Sovereign Play Equipment commented: “The Philadelphia wanted to transform its neglected outdoor area into an idyllic space for children visiting the public house with their parents and guardians.”
The entrance to the pub has been transformed into an attractive garden that is inviting to passing families. It boasts an enriched play area for children of all ages and provides various seating arrangements for parents and guardians.”
New facilities include a variety of activity play panels and a large, eye-catching wooden play tower that creates a wow-factor for passing families. This is accompanied by seating, table and planter box arrangements for families to sit outside and enjoy alfresco dining. Here, they can also keep close supervision on children.
Trade and turnover at The Philadelphia Pub increased by approximately 30%, proving the installation cost effective. Alan Williams, Landlord commented: “The sales during the summer months have increased by 30%. Even during the milder months families still use the play area, as they can enjoy their food and drink whilst watching the kids play.”
This has been a brilliant investment for the pub and offers our regular customers a much more family orientated environment. I can without a doubt recommend the services and equipment offered by Sovereign for play and eating areas. We would definitely use them again should we gain any more space or require updates!”
