Pupils at the John Randall School have had their play activity time transformed by the new TigerTurf Life, multi sport surface they won last year. The school beat off competition from a host of other schools to win the prize at the recent Youth Sport Trust School and Sports Partnership Exhibition and Conference.
Head teacher Helen Middleton said, “It is fantastic that we now have the opportunity to go give our children a safe, stimulating and creative environment in which to play. We have made many improvements to the inside of our school and now we will be able to use the outside area with as much enthusiasm to help deliver the curriculum.”
TigerTurf specialise in providing the correct surface to meet the needs of both pupils and teachers throughout the education sector. They pride themselves as education specialists with the requisite depth of experience, knowledge and technology to provide a surfacing solution for all educational institutions from primary schools right the way through to Universities.
Steve Hewitt, sales and marketing director at TigerTurf said, “We would like to congratulate everyone at John Randall School for winning the competition and are convinced they will be delighted with their prize. We are absolutely certain that the new surface will have a hugely beneficial role to play in the development of the schools' curriculum. TigerTurf knows that the surface you play on changes the way you feel, think and perform. Participation is the driving factor in everything we do; encouraging more children to play outdoors, whilst increasing the amount of competitive sport played in schools and colleges. A TigerTurf multi-sport surface will transform the way you deliver the curriculum."
For primary schools, the distinctive TigerTurf Life surface provides the community, schools and children with an enriching environment which increases opportunity for free-flow access to the outdoors. Pupils can be involved in the design of the surface, which can be used for games, as a social area and a learning environment. For secondary schools and colleges, TigerTurf offer a bespoke range of multi-sport pitches and guidance on delivering a project, including funding options.
