Stannah at Tonic Restaurant-Bar-Deli in Nottingham

19 July 2007

Stannah have installed two vertical platform lifts at Tonic in Nottingham.

Tonic Restaurant-Bar-Deli opened in September 2006 in the Chapel Quarter amongst the rising number of bars and restaurants on the west side of Nottingham’s city centre. Tonic extends over three levels with a deli at street level, a bar on a mezzanine level and a restaurant on the first floor.

The installation of two Stannah Midilifts provides access for customers with impaired mobility to the three levels. The first Stannah Midilift enables customers to access the bar on the mezzanine level from the New York style deli below. The second Midilift provides access to the restaurant, with cinematic décor and open plan kitchen, on the first floor. The platform lifts installed are great illustrations of the different choice of aesthetic and specification options available to specifiers.

Stannah’s range of Access lifts are designed to help building owners/operators meet the requirements of the DDA, Part M (England and Wales) and Part S (Scotland) of the Building Regulations and BS8300. Stannah has also installed a Microlift (dumb waiter) in the bustling first floor kitchen, the service lift moves orders quickly and efficiently to the lower bar on the mezzanine level.

Whatever the occasion and budget, Tonic can cater for it. Visit their website www.tonic-online.co.uk to sample what is on offer.
