Healthy growth means expansion for David Bailey

Manufacturers and suppliers of fitted furniture for the healthcare and education sectors, David Bailey Furniture Systems, has moved its'' Worktop department to new offices in Broadstairs, Kent.

The move is a result of a steady growth in furniture orders, requiring an increase in the company’s production capacity.

Specialist handling equipment was used to facilitate transporting some of the heavy-duty machinery. One machine required decommissioning onsite and reinstating at its new location. The entire move and rewiring was completed in just four days with production resuming on the fifth day.

The Worktop Department now occupies a 5,000 square foot plot, which affords a larger production area than before and the benefit of additional offices on a mezzanine floor. The new premises also boast a specially designed extraction system, to help maintain a clean and safe working environment.
