Environ supports Mother & Daughter event at SKIN in Dublin

Focused promotion, an educational slant and support from vitamin skincare supplier Environ, ensured the success of a special Mother & Daughter event held by beauty specialists SKIN, in Clontarf, Dublin.
SKIN owner Carmel Hunter publicised the three day event to customers of the pharmacy where her treatment room is based, through texts and phone calls to existing clients and with posters in the salon and in local schools.
As a result, some 80% of sales during the event came from new customers, friends and daughters, and those who made appointments after seeing the posters. Every client walked away with plenty of tips, a goody bag with skincare and make-up samples, and a 20% discount on any products they bought. Some also booked return visits for professional treatments.
Sara Barry from Environ held Visia skin analysis consultations on the first day of the event, both for new clients and for those returning for a six month skin review. According to Carmel, parents were delighted by the visual element that showed them directly where problems might lie. While a mums' advice is often ignored, the teenagers lapped up Sara and Carmels' independent tips that could help their skin problems.
“We want to educate young girls to use sun creams and mums are always asking our advice on problem skin, which we can treat very successfully here. We talked to everyone about proper cleansing techniques, nutrition and the importance of Omega 3 supplements to good skin. We are now considering holding a special acne clinic to see boys for free consultations. People soon realise that they can buy products that really work and come with individual advice that are not much different in price than other brands they have tried with less success.“
