Bauder invests £16m in new single ply factory
28 July 2009
Bauder has been manufacturing single ply membranes since 2000 and built the new factory, which opened in June, due to continued increase in demand.
Working in conjunction with the existing plant the new factory will double the production of FPO membranes, further increasing Bauder's present total manufacturing provision of 1.5milliom m² of bituminous and single ply membranes per week. The £16 million factory features the latest production technology to minimise energy consumption and manage its environmental impact so upholding the companys' policy of ‘Zero to Landfill Production’.With this investment Bauder sends a clear signal to the industry that, despite the current economic climate, expansion and continued investment is the still the way forward. Today, Bauder ranks among the prominent manufacturers for flat roof waterproofing membranes and competitively delivers projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
