Bauder has revealed that the growth of their single ply sales increased in 2009 and has continued to grow through the first quarter of this year.
Best known for bituminous waterproofing and green roofs, Bauder has actually been manufacturing single ply membranes for the last ten years and due to the continued increase in demand, the company commissioned the construction of a new £16 million high-tech factory which opened in June 2009. The new factory works in conjunction with the existing plant and doubles the production levels of PVC and FPO membranes, further increasing Bauder's present total manufacturing provision of 1.5million m² of bituminous and single ply membranes per week. To respond to the dramatic increase in their single ply business, the company has expanded their sales team to include two new members of staff totally dedicated to promoting single ply waterproofing and increasing the network of specialist Bauder Approved Contractors to specifically install the PVC system. Both Renee Long and Chris Lee are well known within the industry for their knowledge and expertise on flexible systems.
