Further growth in pipeline as C-Tec expands R&D team
28 October 2009
Leading electronics manufacturer, C-TEC, has expanded its R&D department by recruiting three additional specialist design engineers and a dedicated technical author.
Graham Williamson is C-Tecs' new senior PCB layout engineer. With over 30 years experience in the electronics industry, most recently at Baxall Security, Graham will head up all new PCB design projects. Says Graham: “I am very excited to be joining a company that has such a wide range of products as it will make my job much more interesting and challenging”.Audio-acoustic specialist, Ann Fomukong has been appointed design engineer and will assist in the design of voice alarms and induction loop amplifiers. As technical author, Ian Fox will be responsible for producing instructions, technical documentation and online help files at the company which specializes in the UK manufacture of fire alarm control panels, power supplies, call systems and disability equipment. Paul Sannant joins C-Tecs' team of mechanical engineers.Says Steve Stringfellow, C-Tecs' R&D manager: “Appointing people of such a high calibre is a real coup for C-TEC and I am very excited about the skills and experience they will bring to the team. We are still actively recruiting new engineering staff to assist with product development and I would encourage talented engineers looking for a new challenge to contact me as soon as possible.”The opening of the companys' purpose-built R&D facility in 2006 marked a real turning point for C-Tec as it signaled a significant increase in the company’s research and development capabilities and the subsequent launch of new products including a new range of disabled refuge systems, power supplies and automatic extinguisher panels.Set in the heart of Lancashire at Mawdesley, the impressive state-of-the-art facility has three laboratories, an extensive range of meeting rooms and high-tech customer demonstration areas. The quiet atmosphere of the spacious building makes it the ideal place for creative thought and design.Comments C-Tecs' Managing Director, Andrew Foster: “C-Tec continues to go from strength to strength as we are constantly introducing innovative products to market and investing millions of pounds in staff training and development. The success of a company lies in its people and I am confident we now have the right people in place for the next phase of C-Tecs' expansion into new technologies and markets”.C-Tecs' reputation as UK manufacturers of top-quality fire alarm control panels, voice alarms and disability equipment has resulted in the company enjoying considerable year-on-year growth despite the current economic downturn.Other Press Releases By This Company
