A4 Plus keen to be green
23 November 2009
Whilst A4 Plus Drawing Services is helping to save the environment, they are also making life easier for customers via remote collaboration.
Design projects often reach a point where Customer interaction is needed in an effort to overcome a design or project difficulty. Sometimes a ‘face-to-face’ or ‘on-site’ meeting is unavoidable, but not always. Whenever possible the design team at A4 Plus share their desktop with Customers to discuss a project or review progress.A4 Plus Managing Director, Steve Wild commented;
“These tools are a fantastic way to save time and money for both us and the Customer. Desktop sharing and online collaboration means that our Customers no longer have the expense of travelling to our studio to discuss projects face-to-face.”
Not only does this improve efficiency for both parties but it also cuts carbon emissions from business travel. It is quite common for such project difficulties, which can be hugely expensive both financially and environmentally especially if the majority of the day is spent travelling to and from the meeting, to be overcome in a matter of minutes.
Steve added;
“Not only does it help the environment but it also aligns with other business objectives such as improving efficiency and productivity, as well as business agility. The environment is a little better off and we add value for our Customers when utilising our services. It is a situation where everyone benefits from suppliers and customers to the environment. Not only this, but Clients do not need the same CAD software at their offices. This way we can show them a problem visually using our CAD software whilst talking through the issue at the same time on the phone.”
