New low energy Solenoid Valves provide high flows in miniature packages
10 December 2009
Sensortechnics have launched their new 2-way and 3-way Ten-X solenoid valves.
The Ten-X series is available with integrated 'Hit and Hold' drive electronics which significantly reduces power consumption and heat generation using pulse width modulation (PWM). These lightweight miniature valves are ideally suited for many portable, medical and analytical device applications. The Ten-X valves achieve high flow rates of 8 litres a minute 6psi, (400mbar), and 22 litres a minute 30 psi, (2 bar), through a 0.060 inch, (1.5mm), orifice. The simple single piece body design reduces the overall component parts and provides high reliability and excellent leak specifications over the entire lifetime of the valves. The compact 10 mm wide package offers barbed pressure ports for direct tubing connections, or manifold mount assemblies using the unique Ten-X gasket.
Important features of the new Ten-X series are:
- 2-way and 3-way 10 mm solenoid valves
- Optional 'Hit and Hold' drive electronics
- High flow rates of 8 lpm at 6 psi and 22 lpm at 30 psi
- Excellent leak specifications
The new Ten-X series meets the specific response times and flow requirements of Non-Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP) devices. Further medical applications include respiratory devices, anaesthesia machines, oxygen oncentrators & conservers and wound therapy. Due to its small size, low power consumption and minimal heat dissipation these valves are especially suitable for portable device applications.
