Demco project at Coventry History Centre
28 December 2009
Demco designed and furnished the interior of the History Centre for a range of users wanting to access a variety of resources and sometimes spending quite a few hours in the centre.
Spatial planning was important to accommodate a cross section of resources within a limited space. With an even split between screen and print based research we ensured that the space was not designed to the exclusion of one or the other.To make the best use of space we designed snake of shelving down the centre of the room to zone areas but still allowed users to move freely across and between the spaces.
David Bancroft, Visitor Services Manager said;
“We set out to achieve a discrete work space for visitors to the History Centre and that is exactly what we have”.
