IPEX 2010 exceeds Renz expectations with worldwide sales expected to hit £1m
07 June 2010
Leading punching and loose leaf binding manufacturer Renz, has said its post IPEX 2010 sales are set to approach £1 million after its highly successful launch of two new binding systems at this years exhibition.
The new Renz machines creating this buzz at IPEX were: The revolutionary AP 360 Block to Block. - A floor-standing high speed punching machine allowing for fully automated punching of book blocks and less manual product handling. The DBW / KL 500 – An automatic cover turner linked to the already popular high-speed binding lines, the AB 500 HS and ABL 500. Its unique automatic feature of flipping the back cover over after the binding process is complete and spinning every second book 180 degrees for easy stacking and packaging means minimal manual product handling; something which many of our customers are excited about. These new introductions to the already successful Renz portfolio are aimed at addressing new pressures on printers, such as the print-on-demand market and calls for increased automation or inline systems and further demonstrate Renz’s ability to continually adapt to market demands. A major highlight for Renz was selling one high speed Autopunch (AP 360) worth £33k per day at the show. Dermot Callaghan – Renz UK Bindery Products Sales Manager said “This machine, a leader in its field, reduces punching bottle necks. With just one operator needed it is capable of comfortably punching in excess of 60,000 sheets per hour”. Daniel Pooley – Renz UK Sales & Marketing Manager said of IPEX 2010 “This has been like no other recent show we have been part of; with customers having new found confidence to invest. In past years customers have been more reluctant to spend, preferring to wait for new products rather than investing heavily in technology already on the market. We feel that with the launch of our new range, together with renewed confidence in the market our customers are more than willing to begin investing again”. Iain Bullock, Renz UK Managing Director, said “IPEX 2010 has exceeded all of our expectations. It has lived up to its potential of being a selling show. There was a hugely positive air throughout and less negativity and cautiousness than we have experienced from customers in recent years”. Renz were also ecstatic about the number of demonstrations and sales of their hugely successful bench top semi automatic punching machine (DTP 340 A) and semi automatic binding machines (ECL 360 / WP 300). These machines were designed to specifically bridge the gap between full automation and traditional foot pedal punching and binding systems and it is testament to Renz’s innovation that even with the introduction of newer, more automated machines, these machines still remain hugely popular with customers. Daniel Pooley added “An investment of only £10k gives customers the ability to test the market or take on larger run lengths, before making a bigger investment into fully automated systems.” IPEX 2010 demonstrates that the motto “Innovate through Technology” is engrained in the fibres of Renz. From adaptable, high speed machines to zero waste and biodegradable consumables, Renz keep pushing the boundaries, to ensure they remain leaders in their field.Other Press Releases By This Company
