Image Group Joins Forces with Marketing Agency FK3 to Smash Exhibition Display Print Turnaround Record
Manchester-based The Image Group has smashed its in-house turnaround record by outputting, printing and finishing 26 separate exhibition display items for one order in less than ten working hours.
The job was completed on their new super-wide format Vutek QS 5 colour digital print machine.
The nine 3m x 3m full-colour pop up display systems and three 2.4m Super-wide roller banners and a further fifteen 1 metre wide roller banners were delivered on time for London-based marketing communications agency FK3.
FK3 created the display kits for its long-standing California-based client SanDisk, the world’s largest flash memory producer. The materials were used for SanDisk’s international product launch of Extreme Ducati Edition – an exclusive, high-performance range of memory products designed in partnership with Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati.
Image Group’s focus was sharpened by unmoveable deadlines for shipping. And with short-notice approvals required on two continents, and more importantly two time zones, production time was squeezed to a bare minimum.
For The Image Group, Andy Morris, Account Manager said,
“It was one of those jobs that was always going to go right down to the wire. But we pride ourselves in being amongst the most responsive and flexible wide -format digital print companies in the country. And we saw this job as a personal challenge for the whole Image Group team.
“Don’t forget, as we produced the FK3 items there were more than 160 other jobs going through the factory at the same time! To say we are delighted with the way our logistics and new machinery coped is an understatement!”
Image Group has recently invested in the new 2m wide and 3.2m wide Vutek digital print equipment to further increase production speed. More than nine staff worked on the job including management, print technicians and finishers.
For FK3, Paul Micallef, Partner said,
“We select production partners very carefully and particularly like to work with people who understand the time pressures we regularly face. And when we work to tight deadlines we need to work with dedicated & responsive people you can trust like The Image Group.
“With projects like the SanDisk launch display kits we produced, it's a team effort from the client to the sub contractor. And when it comes together so smoothly, like it did for this job, it’s very rewarding for everyone.”
