Flexicon to demonstrate proven technology at PPMA

Flexicon Europe will be demonstrating their proven bulk materials handling technology alongside new developments at this years PPMA show in September.
The versatility of its flexible screw conveyors and pneumatic conveyors will be the main focus of the Flexicon Europe stand B16 as this year’s PPMA exhibition1, where visitors will have the opportunity to see both conveying systems in action. The company is also taking the opportunity to introduce to show visitors its UK Test Laboratory Service where it can validate the performance of both pneumatic and flexible screw conveyor systems using a customer’s actual bulk materials.Such a major contributor to improving bulk material flow is Flexicon’s flexible screw conveyor, a totally enclosed system preventing contamination of the product and plant as well as preserving the moisture and temperature levels of the materials being conveyed. As the name implies the Flexicon flexible screw conveyor can move material vertically, horizontally or to any angle – over, under or around obstructions. During operation the flexible screw self-centres as it rotates and the gently rolling action prevents separation of the blend throughout the entire length of the conveyor.
Generally ideal for bulk materials transfer over longer distances is Flexicon’s Pneumatic-Con dilute phase pneumatic conveying system which is available in a choice of operational platforms – a vacuum system ideal for transporting material from multiple sources such as storage vessels, process equipment, trucks, etc., to multiple destinations and a positive pressure system typically used for conveying from a single source to one or multiple destinations.
On stand B16 Flexicon will also be showing a number of recent developments including the Single-Trip-Bag unloader, a Bag Compactor and Bulk Bag Conditioner – all an integral part of a range of bulk materials handling systems designed to increase plant efficiency and productivity as well as improving site safety.
For organisations looking to easily and reliably transfer bulk materials such as pellets, fine powders, whether free-flowing, cohesive, problematic or hazardous a visit to the Flexicon stand B16 is a must. Flexicon Europe has most likely conveyed, fed, discharged, filled, weighed, dumped or otherwise handled it many times before, whether the solution comes from the company’s standard product range or requires a bespoke design and build.
