Dual Display handheld Capacitance Meters from Metrix

Metrix Electronics has refreshed its capacitance meter line with updated models BK830C and BK890C.
The BK830C measures capacitance up to 200mF, while the BK890C measures up to 50mF. Easy to operate, these instruments can make measurements quickly and simplify the capacitance sorting process in electronic assembly, component selection and quality control applications.Unlike other hand held instruments (such as LCR meters) that make measurements using an AC signal with a specific test frequency, the BK830C and BK890C measure capacitance more accurately by applying a constant current that briefly charges, then discharges the connected capacitor.
The meters include many handy functions. The compare mode, which supports 25 sets of High / Low limits, provides a convenient means to sort capacitors without needing to set up the meter each time. Data logging, Hold reading and Min/Max/Average recording, tolerance and relative mode features offer additional component troubleshooting.
Features updated on both models include standard mini USB (Virtual COM) interface, improved ergonomic design, upgraded LCD and back-light and protective screen visor.
The interface supports SCPI compliant commands for remote communications – data logging and front panel emulation software is available as free download.
A tilt stand provides position flexibility for viewing and operating the meter. The over-moulded rubber case protects the meter for better durability. 3-year warranty.
