Model D7 Polarimeter

A new optical polarimeter has been launched by instrument manufacturer Bellingham + Stanley specifically for academia and laboratories that do not require higher accuracy measurements afforded by digital polarimeters.

Unlike many other optical polarimeters on the market, the new Model D7 is supplied with a unique low voltage LED light source that is powered by a remote supply, eliminating potentially dangerous high voltages from the measurement area.  Bench space and shipping costs are also reduced by adopting the use of an LED light source.

The instrument features both angular and sugar scales and is capable of providing measurements to 0.05°A and 0.1°Z at 589nm and may be used with sample tubes up to 200mm in length.
