About us

Wardray Premise Limited is a 4th generation family run and owned business. The business was started 1909, as a joinery company.

The Company’s current portfolio includes:

Accessory products and solutions for X-ray and MRI environments;
Structural radiation shielding products for medical diagnostic and radiotherapy applications; and
Industrial shielding for non-destructive testing (NDT) facilities.

Wardray Premise is based in the UK with two manufacturing facilities. 65 staff are employed across their business activities and this includes a team of service engineers covering the UK supporting their installed base. The company has a turnover of £6m and operate globally with agents in 30 countries.

They are key suppliers to all equipment manufacturers (Philips, GE, Siemens and Toshiba) and have worked successfully with numerous main contractors. They have a track record of delivering projects and services on time, on budget and meeting client expectations.

Wardray’s business philosophy is Quality without Compromise. This quality ethos is underpinned by their ISO9001:2008 and ISO13485 accreditations. In addition, they are committed to the use of sustainable timber under their Chain of Custody standards FSC: FSC-STD-04-004.

Generous parents (Gill and Matthew Ashton) raised money to improve the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
13/04/2016 - The burning issue of fire doors
Wardray products are custom made to meet customer specification and include a range of independently certified, tested, lead shielded fire doors. Wardray fire doors offer 30 or 60 minute fire rating.
11/02/2016 - During 2015 Wardray Premise Ltd manufactured and installed 15 RF cages for MRI facilities in the UK.

07/05/2015 - Wardray Premise offers a wide range of products for use in Imaging Departments.
They ensure that specialist areas such as MRI facilities have safe and appropriate products for everyday use.
09/03/2015 - During 2014 Wardray Premise Ltd manufactured 23 RF cages.
This included installations at Lancashire Royal Infirmary, Addenbrookes Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Veterinary College Cambridge.
08/10/2014 - TOF watch monitor
Wardray Premise Ltd was happy to provide one of its TOF Watch Objective Neuromuscular Transmission Monitors on loan to a group that recently carried out cataract operations on sun bears in Cambodia. Sun bears are the world’s smallest species of bear, and they are at risk of extinction from habitat loss and illegal hunting.
08/10/2014 - M3 patient monitor
The M3 has been developed for patient monitoring during MRI examinations. The unit is suitable for use with scanners up to and including 3T systems.
