A host of new contract wins in the Midlands region has led to the opening
A host of new contract wins in the Midlands region has led to the opening of yet another new operating depot in Sutton Coldfield.
The official opening party was attended by a number of senior vending industry leaders, and was officially opened by the Chief Executive of the Coffee Point Group Mr Nick Naismith.
Mr Naismith commented after the opening: “The Midlands region is incredibly important to us. We already operate a number of high profile clients in the region and over the past 12 months have won some significant new business including the prestigious Birmingham City Colleges. The resulting increase in new business necessitated an operational hub in the Midlands, which allows us to maintain our exemplary service quality and speedy logistics anywhere in the region. The new depot, based in Maybrook Business Park, in Sutton Coldfield was the perfect choice because of its excellent road links and proximity to the M6 and the main routes into Birmingham”.
“We have an extremely dedicated and experienced operations team and their commitment to providing customers with the very best service, is to be commended. From a strategic viewpoint, this gives now us a far greater geographical spread without overstretching our operators. As business continues to grow apace and we develop sales in the region, we have plans to open a new state of the art showroom as well as providing an on-site training facility for all new operators allowing us to maintain the service quality across the UK.”
Operations team leader, Adam Selvey, will head the team in the Midlands and his enthusiasm and expertise has been instrumental in developing the new operations. The depot currently operates over 250 vending machines in the region with a further 60 machines due to go live in July.”
Brian Tustain Chief Executive of Associated Vending Services, attended the launch event and presented Mr Naismith with a silver salver to commemorate the occasion.
The new Midlands depot follows an extremely successful period in the Group’s history, with key contract wins in the area including Royal Sun Alliance, Barclays, Pinsent Masons and Oxford City Council. The Coffee Point Group in addition to Sutton Coldfield has 11 further depots strategically placed around the UK.
