The Most Wanted Hair

Hob salons’ International Creative Director, Akin Konizi, has been crowned with the trophy for the UK’s Most Wanted Hair Trend at the grand final of the 2008 UK’s Most Wanted Awards.
At a glittering ceremony in the magnificent Banqueting House in Whitehall, London, Akin saw off tough competition from all around the UK to claim this coveted trophy which hunts down the hottest cut and colour look of 2008.
His beautiful, classic entry reflecting back-to-basic trends with elegant simplicity and a high-gloss finish, caught the eye of the celebrated panel of judges, which included experts from the hairdressing industry, beauty journalists from leading titles such as Grazia and InStyle, and VIPs from the worlds of fashion, business and the arts.
Presented by leading industry magazine Creative HEAD and sponsored by hairdressing giant, Wella Professionals, UK’s Most Wanted celebrates the very best creative and business talents in British hairdressing, and is widely acknowledged as one of the most inspiring and influential events of the year.
Three hundred and fifty of the most glamorous people in hairdressing were welcomed to the event and enjoyed an evening hosted by celebrity compere Justin Lee Collins of Channel 4’s The Sunday Night Project, who presented the Most Wanted Hair Trend award to Akin on the night.
Speaking on the night, Akin beamed: “I am delighted to be honoured with this award from Creative HEAD. To have my image selected by a panel of such incredible figures from the hairdressing industry and by esteemed beauty journalists is just fantastic. This award is not just for me, but is for the entire team who have been instrumental in helping me win this evening.”
