Hob salon plays host to heiress and new reality TV show.
Camden Town was brought to a standstill recently as LA socialite Paris Hilton spent the day filming her new exclusive series, “Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend” at “Good Salon Guide”, Five Star salon hob salons.
Hilton's series will be one of the key new shows in ITV's autumn and winter schedule. The ITV2 controller, Zai Bennett, said signing Hilton was a coup, describing her as "absolutely the kind of person we want on ITV2", assisting ITV2 in its brand "refresh".
Hob salons, situated on Camden Lock represented the growing high standard of Uk hairdressing whilst playing host to the “hot” heiress and her new reality programme. The “all-American It girl” and 12 potential “best friends” were transformed in just 5 hours in order to accompany Paris as she sashays down the red carpet.
The pampered princess was kept hidden from the horde of paparazzi outside as salon windows were blacked out and security tightened.To keep the content of the ITV2 show secret until its broadcast in early January 2009,salon staff had to keep their phones turned off and were sworn to secrecy.
These conditions did not affect the professional stylists who are used to working under pressure. Artistic Director, Co-founder and British Hairdresser of the Year 2008 nominee, Akin Konizi was delighted to lead his creative team in the makeover of the 12 hopefuls and Miss Hilton.
