Victor’s new sales director appointment prompts department reshuffle
25 January 2018
After nine years as national account manager, Victor Manufacturing’s Michael Inwood has been promoted to sales and marketing director, following the departure of Andrew Gibson.
Inwood said 2018 promises to be a big year for the Bradford-based catering display and counter firm. “It’s an exciting time to be appointed. There’s some impressive new products soon to be launched.“Retail will be a big focus for us in the coming months and I am sure our new Evolution range – which is being launched at Hotelympia – will impress. Victor has seen impressive growth over the years and I look forward to helping the business continue to go from strength to strength.”
The former chef has developed Victor’s sales with many key companies including Greggs, JD Wetherspoon, Yo! Sushi, and Whitbread.
As a result of Inwood’s appointment, Victor has restructured its sales team. Kieron Baker, formerly internal sales executive, will now cover Yorkshire, whilst Phil Biggerstaff takes on the North East. The firm is also looking to recruit a national account manager as well as a sales manager to cover the South East.
Inwood said: “I’m looking forward to meeting new and existing customers and distributors. I’ll also continue to focus on our target markets including retail and the pub and brewery sector. We have some impressive new products in the pipeline, many of which have been customer led, so it’s imperative I’m out there listening to their feedback.”
Amongst the latest products is Evolution, a range of retail display cabinets. Suitable for the grab-and-go market, the 12 new models are available in hot, ambient and chilled, for either assisted or self-service applications.
Inwood, who is based in Solihull but will travel across the UK, added: “Evolution will surprise a few people. Victor’s ability to produce reliable, high performance catering equipment is well established, whilst our custom counters have seen Victor deliver ground-breaking design projects. Evolution combines these capabilities – it performs well and looks good. It really does tick all the boxes.”
Phil Williams, MD at Victor, added: “We’re delighted to announce Michael as sales and marketing director and wish him every success in his new role.”
