Aluminium notice boards are powder coated, hinged, lockable, glazed with shatterproof Polycarbonate and supplied with a magnetic backer. Notice boards can be wall or post mounted and supplied with a header panel. A wide variety of sizes are available. To display changeable information to visitors and local residents.

Accoya Notice Board

Timber notice boards are produced in Accoya due to its’ stability and durability. Accoya notice boards are hinged, lockable, glazed with shatterproof Polycarbonate and supplied with pinbaord backers. Notice boards can be wall mounted or supplied with Oak posts. Routed Oak header panels are a further option. A wide variety of sizes are available. To display information that needs frequently updating to visitors.
Inland Gauge Boards

Inland Gauge Boards

Inland gauge boards are produced in Encapsulated GRP to give a robust and hard wearing finish. They are designed to BS EN ISO 4373:2008. Inland boards are produced in 1m long sections to a D50 design (145mm wide) or D64 (100mm wide). Reverse reading boards, Imperial graduations and Incline boards are also available.

Tidal gauge boards are produced in Encapsulated GRP and are designed to withstand tidal environments. They are produced to the Docks & Harbours design. Tidal boards are produced in 1m long sections at 300mm wide to reference D53.
Fords & Floods Gauge Boards

Fords & Floods Gauge Boards

Gauge boards for Fords & Floods are produced to The Traffic Signs Regulations. There are 3 standard designs − Ref 826, Ref 826.1 and Ref 826 V. They are for use at Fords & locations when flooding is a persistent problem. A mix of Imperial & metric graduations.

Encapsulated Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP signs) are ideal for external applications when long term use is planned and there may be concerns about vandalism. The Shelley GRP signs have a 10 year warranty against fading and are easy to clean − for both environmental grime & graffiti. A wide range of framing options are available.
Open Pinboards

Open Pinboards

Open pinboards can be produced in either powder coated aluminium or timber (Accoya). They are supplied with an external grade cork board and allow the public open access to display material, without the need for lockable doors. Ideal in public open spaces or for parish councils. Open pinboards can be wither wall mounted or supplied with posts.

Timber Finger Posts

Timber directional finger posts can be produced in Oak, pressure treated softwood or Recycled Plastic (man made wood). On all options the text and content is indented / routed into the finger arms and the arms are morticed into the posts. These produce a stylish option to direct visitors around a site
Aluminium Finger Posts

Aluminium Finger Posts

Aluminium directional finger posts are supplied with a powder coated finish. The arms are supplied with brackets to facilitate simple fixing and positioning on site. The content can be produced as either vinyl lettering or printed images, encapsulated for durability. A wide range of colours.
Waymarker Discs

Waymarker Discs

Waymarker discs are used to help direct visitors around a site in a simple and unobtrusive manner. The standard size is 76mm diameter. Discs can be produced in PVC or GRP − the latter offering genuine long term durability. Discs can be simple or have complex designs.
Directional Bollards

Directional Bollards

Usually produced in timber − either pressure treated softwood or Oak. Bollards can be produced to your required size but 100mm, 200mm or 300mm square are the most common sizes. Bollards can display printed signs or be produced with a range of routed or sandblasted graphics − these are highly individual methods of directing visitors.
Church Signs

Church Entrance & Welcome signs can be post or wall mounted, depending on the location. Church Entrance signs can include lockable notice boards which give the organisation the opportunity to display frequently changing information. Overall design complexity to suit. Interpretation panels for internal and external use are also available.
Recycled Plastic Signs

Recycled Plastic signs are produced from UK made lumber and meet environmental & recycling standards. The plastic can be used to frame and mount full colour printed graphics on posts or lecterns or can be used as a sign material in its’ own right. Recycled Plastic can be routed with indented lettering and images which is painted to suit.
Routed Timber Signs

Routed Timber Signs

Timber signs are most commonly produced in either Oak, Cedar or Larch / softwood. Routed signs are produced with indented lettering and graphics which are painted to suit. Routed timber signs are commonly used for Entrance & directional signs in country parks and other rural locations. They will weather down and develop a silvery sheen over time. Timber will be sourced from FSC suppliers or sustainably managed estates.
Sandblasted Timber Signs

Sandblasted Timber Signs

Sandblasted timber signs are commonly produced using UK Cedar, from sustainable UK estates. Sandblasted signs have raised text and graphics with a sandblasted background. We normally paint the text and map details but leave illustrations unpainted, as silhouettes. They are commonly used in nature reserves and public open spaces − the sandblast process giving great flexibility in terms of design detail.

Signs for Museums can range from Entrance signs, directional signs around a site to interpretation panels for both internal & external applications. A wide variety of materials are available to match the environment and location. Signs and panels can be produced from artwork supplied or by using the Shelley in-house design team.

Interpretation Benches

Interpretation benches combine seating with information and interpretation about the local area. Usually produced in UK sourced Cedar these benches are decorated with text and natural history illustrations using the Shelley sandblasting & routing process. Digital Signs

Digital Signs

Digital signs combine the traditional printed graphic panels with a digital element that creates a ‘local web’ onto which you can put any web based content. The visitor connects to a WiFi signal and browses the local web using their phone. The system is designed to be self contained and does not allow external links or general web access. It offers great potential to extend the interpretation provision.

Many of the styles and designs supplied by Shelley Signs can be enhanced with a Heritage style finish. This can include cast header panel, post finials, collars and post embellishments. Theses are frequently used for Finger posts and vertical mounted interpretation panels in urban and historic areas.
